Replacing putter shaft

I want to change my Ghost putter shaft but since there really isn't a hosel I'm not sure how to remove the existing shaft. I don't want to discolor the white head. Any suggestions?

At this point I'm just thinking I will cover the putter head with an Ove Glove to try to keep it from discoloring. Thoughts?

I dont know if I would risk that.

Heat gun. Maybe heat guns don't cause any discoloring?

you can buy this gel like stuff to use on the head to protect it from heat. The pro I know uses it when he pulls TM adapters to protect the plastic ferrule, and he used it to remove the stock shaft on my burner 2.0 hybrid.
