Srixon ZX5 and ZX7 Irons Review
finally had a chance to hit the zx7 against my gamer 225. similar size at address, zx7 slightly smaller and a more angular shape. but i liked it.
feel was a little softer with zx7, not as clicky as i recall when i first tried them. slight edge over the 225.
flights were shockingly different. 225 a much more forward flight, seemed faster. zx7 significantly higher launch and peak, with a softer flight. big edge to the zx7.
225 have lagp a series low 105 stiff. zx7 modus 115 stiff (limited edition black), but they’re a bit over length and have oversized grips. i’ll get that sorted out then grab launch monitor numbers. as of right now i’d say the first swings with the zx7 were very promising.

Yep, with 2nd Gen getting rave reviews, you can find good deals on 1st Gen.
Very nice!!!! One of the best irons ever IMO.
I am still loving the ZX7 irons. I keep testing new irons options but nothing motivates me to make a change. The ZX7 combination of feel, forgiveness, and turf interaction is excellent. These may be "old" irons, but in my opinion they remain very relevant.
I got a chance to hit a friend of mines ZX5 yesterday and they are VERY good. A great option for a lot of people
