I’m contemplating going graphite, just need to figure out something comparable to what i have now. My other brand clubs have CTaper Lite regular flex, but that’s an upcharge in cobra irons

It’s once a year magic, but I didn’t have less than 24 hours on my bingo card.
 
I just built a set of Darkspeed, I could live with this. And figure it out…

If you got selected and this is your first exposure to the Cobra lineup for this year, or period for that matter, you are going to be thrilled. I hope this opens your eyes to the brand. The Darkspeed lineup goes toe to toe with any other OEM , the King Tours irons are CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED and the wedges are as well.
3 weeks and lots of decisions to be made. Enjoy it all!

Truth. Also though Cobra has always been there just waiting for the chance. Their woods over the years have had some absolute bombers and their irons haven’t been bad either. They are just slept on more than some others.
 
I’m going to go hit the darkspeeds before I make any decisions.

I figured just getting them in steel and reshafting them would be the way to go. Darts or Dart V. I think the taper tip (I've understood to be) is the thing that makes shafts upcharge at Cobra.

One of our local fitters showed me the sheet they got and very limited graphite options due to this.

But a ShaftGate was inevitable 😀

Lots of decisions and lots of overthinking about which shafts to choose. :LOL:
 
I love seeing the bag ponders getting serious! It’s really real now.

After hitting all of the 2024 Cobra lineup I’m positive some of the guys minds are going to be blown with how good it is top to bottom. Hopefully someone gets a Grandsport I’m very interested to read more THP opinions on it.
 
Having gone OL year with no regrets, I think I would change it up this year and go Tours.
I hit them a few times and they were good, but I wanted to give OL a go at the time

I played the Grandsport last season. The face puts such a good roll on the ball. If you like a plumber’s neck blade, the Grandsport should be given consideration.

I’m playing a Widesport this season because I want to try a face balanced blade.

I think there are advantages to both. When you wanted to give OL a chance what was it that pushed you over the edge?

The clubs are awesome but so is the Puma apparel! Some many good selections to look at.

For me it was the lack of practice time and the one repetitive swing aspect of the OL. And they worked. I ended last season with my lowest ever handicap. The biggest drawback is you’re basically just pigeonholed in to your iron selection if you go that route. Options are just limited
