The Car Shopping Thread

Ya, and if you play your cards right you could do that with no cash down AND 0% APR for 60 months.
As long as the parts and accessories are Ford parts, you could add it to the MSRP and not have to worry about loan to value % on the finance contract....plus, it would still be under the same warranty. It's a pretty crazy deal.
Better than anything I've ever seen for a performance car.
700hp
Warranty
0% and $0 down on $40k

It's laughably good.

Wonder if I could convince the Ford dealership where I work to do this set up to the base-ish 2016 Mustang GT/ six speed manual, we have in stock?

I've been out looking at a new truck, my truck has nearly 300k miles on it and I know it's not long before it's a necessity. I really can't stomach what new trucks are going for. I hate the thought of a used truck cause it's just buying someone else's issues.

If you got 300k out of yours I would certainly think you could pickup a few year old one from a private owner with all of the maintenance documentation, then get alot of good use out of it.

Yeah new truck with decent options runs 35K +. That's crazy. Saw Silverado fully loaded for 42K. Over the last few years truck pricking has sky rocketed.

I just did a deal for a customer who was buying a fully loaded 2016 Ford F150 Supercrew King Ranch 4x4. MSRP on that was $60695!

Just picked up this beauty 2 days ago.

She sure is a fun car. Did you add any engine mods?

Besides an intake and exhaust, I left it as is. All my mods were audio, suspension, lighting, wheels.

It's crazy lol. You can finance a 700+ HP car with $0 down...pretty much makes modding other cars pointless.

All well and good, except the fact that it's a Mustang.

I have a friend who is a Chevy dealer. He says most people are leasing them these days. Even if they plan on buying it after the lease. Smaller initial outlay of cash down, lease for three years or so, and then buy it at that point for less money than you can find a used three year old truck on the market is his pitch.

I haven't done the math to see if that works, but maybe it's something to consider? Renting a truck for three years; and then buying a used truck three years from now…but a used truck only you have driven.

The numbers are visible on the contracts, so most people can do the math. It's not an exact science, but you can look at an equally equipped 3 year old truck with similar miles and see what they are going for currently. If your buyout is less than that number, if the math holds true, then you have a good deal on your hands. It's all about the residual they give you on the deal, of course. Plus, make sure you're asking about lease end options IF you choose to buy. So lenders, like Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler, have a bunch of lease end fees. Ford, on the other hand, does not. Though some of them do mark up the purchase option fee around $500...but that's not crazy. We (I) don't do that here at the dealership where I work. However, that's because currently the residual prices that MOST of the vehicles we are leasing are almost RIGHT on the money with the used market numbers. Meaning, you can lease an F-150 for 3 years, and at the end the purchase option prices currently are in line with NADA Retail...so there's almost no point in buying it, as it's just an even deal. You might be able to get a little better deal by looking harder, unless you just LOVE the truck.

Ended up cancelling my old C450 AMG order to order this instead...now I'll have to wait until September for delivery. But to me it's worth it bc I feel this car is much more aesthetically pleasing.

Only question, is that dyno'd on an engine dyne or a chassis dyno? So is it 811 flywheel HP or 811 Wheel HP? Either way thats a ton of power for a street car. JW

I'm PRETTY sure it will go just a little north of $50K....lol, but who knows!

That was on a chases dyno, at the wheels!
