USGA in the spotlight again: HV3 penalized after rules official's mistake.

Harsh on Varner but I do get it.

If (and I’m sure he didn’t) Varner had realised that the course was playing a certain way, fast / slow, various holes down / into wind, or that his swing that day was moving the ball left or right, he could have got his agent to knock the driver up or down a degree or adjust the draw/fade bias. I’m sure he wouldn’t but it’s possible.

Wasn't really referring to people who already care or love the game, probably just bad wording on my part and that's my bad, guess trying to say with penalties like this it's hard to grow the game? Does that make more sense?
I agree, every time there is one of these ridiculous rulings the local radio stations talk about how stupid it is and that is why they don't watch much golf. The only other time golf is discussed is during a major or big tiger news.
