I am in the process of building a hydraulic shaft puller with a Big Red 2 Ton bottle jack that I purchased from Home Depot online for $10.97 and some scrap aluminum brackets.

That would make a pretty good thread if you've documented it all.

Going to pull that rotten Fubuki shaft out of the Trimetal 7w and replace it with something. Spec'd to 41.75 inches. Probably an Aldila NVS. Then build a Trimetal 9W.

I need to see some pictures of these. I have a 17° trimetal sitting in my basement, been looking around at shaft pullers on line, and I really would like to tinker with it.

B-rad I just moved all my phone pics to my laptop or I'd post one via tapatalk. When I log onto that machine later I will put a couple up though. Interesting club and it takes a special fitting called a bushing to fit modern shafts in there. You can buy them from Mitchell for around $1 each.

Miura CB-202 6 iron head and CB-301 8 iron head. I also got a set of C-taper lights and white ferrules. Too bad I can't find matching heads to make a nice set.

I didn't take before, during, but these are 2 quick after pics.

2 quick ones of the irons and wedges. I got Fourteen FH1000 and Raw Rm-12. The irons came with Tour Concept X1 shafts. Too much for me. i reshafted with C Taper Lite, regular flex. The wedges came with Dynamic Gold Wedge Flex. I added a C-Taper Lite to the 52. I installed matching ferrules on all

Hawk - when you added the MCI's to the VRS Forged, how did you manipulate the SW?

Shaft length is the easiest way, but of course that only works if you're going to play longer shafts. The nice thing about the MCI's (and many other high end graphite options now) is that the weight isn't way off, so you can either get something comparable or even slightly higher, which is a good thing in my world.

With steel I just use tip weights. With graphite you can buy tip weights too, but I'd probably just lean towards lead tape for ease of use.

So I picked up a set of Tour V's to throw in my Apex's but I was unable to pull the shafts. Never had this issue before. Tried all day. To make sure I wasn't going crazy I pulled a Bio Cell head with no issues. Guess I will bring them to my club guy and have him pull them

That's an awesome setup Adam. I absolutely love the look of the recoils.

Thanks! They play even better. I've gotten a few rounds in and I'm really happy with the results.

Heat gun or torch?

Sometimes you have to torch it. Not sure if you have one, but worth a try.

I'm going to give a torch a shot. Hopefully it works

Quick advice needed: I bought a Tour Green shaft with a optifit adapter on it a little while back. Anyway, the bottom cog of the adapter is stuck in the "S" position. This isn't a big deal, but are there any tricks to get it unstuck that anyone knows about? I don't see any glue build up, so I'm not sure why it is stuck, but it obviously takes away a lot of the customizable options, which is disappointing.
