What would your bag be if..?

Driver: Ryoma
FW: TEE
Hybrid: PRGR
Irons: Callaway
Wedges: Mizuno
Putter: Ping

Driver: Wilson Staff D200
Woods: Cobra
Irons: Callaway New Big Bertha (because they promise 2 club lengths... lol)
Wedges: Scratch
Putter: Yes Golf Valerie

Ideally the clubs would be whichever ones I hit the best.

Hmmmm... let's see

Driver: TaylorMade
Woods: Cobra
Hybrid: Callaway
Irons: Bridgestone
Wedges: Titleist
Putter: Ping

For fun, here would be my Internet Golfer (TM) bag:

Driver: Nike Covert (original one), Real Deal XXX flex shaft, tipped 1 3/4"

FWs: TM Mini Driver

Irons: Mizuno MP4 2-P

Wedges: Honma. Doesn't matter what kind. Just need that real deal Japanese stuff.

Putter: The Odyssey Damascus putter that Bae has in his bag with samurai steel. I need that samurai steel.

Ball: ProV1x

Swap out the MP4s for some Miura Baby Blades, and now we're talking.

If I had to choose today to have the best bag for me our of things that I've seen/hit, and I couldn't repeat, it would be:

Driver - Callaway X2 Hot
3W & 5W - Taylormade RBZ Stage 2
4H - Bridgestone J40
5I-SW - PING i25
LW - Cleveland RTX 2.0
Putter - Bettinardi SS12

Driver: Ping
Woods: Cobra
Hybrids: Adams
Irons: Callaway
Wedges: Hopkins
Putter: NEAD
Ball: Bridgestone

This really made me stop and think....good one.

Driver: Callaway
Fairway: Titleist
Hybrids: Adams
Irons: Mizuno
Wedges: Cleveland
Putter: Ping
Balls: Bridgestone

I can do this without any real problem.

Driver: Nike Covert
Fairway: Cobra AMP Cell
Hybrid: Callaway x2 hot
Irons: Bridgestone j40 dpc
Wedges: TaylorMade Tour Preferred
Putter: SeeMore or Scotty Cameron

Matter of fact, I can set my bag up like that right now if I wanted.

I think I would go:

Driver:Cleveland
FW: Taylormade
Hybrid:Callaway
irons: mizuno
wedges: Scor
putter: seemore
ball: bridgestone

Driver: Taylormade R1 I love that driver
3W: Callaway
Hybrids: Cobra

Putter: Ping
Ball: Bridgestone

Driver: Callaway Bertha
4 wood: Cobra Bio Cell
Hybrids: Cleveland Mashie
Irons: Titleist AP2's
Wedges: Hopkins
Putter: Taylormade Ghost Spider s

What would your bag be if..?

Driver - Ping G30
Fairway - TaylorMade RBZ Stage 2
Irons - Titleist 08 AP2
Wedges - Callaway Mack Daddy 2
Putter - SeeMore Si4
Ball - Bridgestone RX300S

For what it's worth - this was VERY hard for me as Vokey's, Scotty's, and Pro V1's are all by far the best of their kind to me. I picked the AP2's because I will never ever play with another set of irons unless they are a line of AP2's.

Beyond what mikedean441 pointed out regarding TM and Nike, what I think I find most odd is that what people have listed doesn't remotely come close in many cases to what is in their bags.

By this I mean, you'll see a bag full of mixed OEMs, but none of those OEMs line up with what that person states is how they'd build it. Presumably people are building this list out (granted with a constraint) on how they think they'd score best. You'd think that would closely align (at least in certain segments) to what people have in their bags.

An extension of this is the person with 1/2 OEMs across the bag, but then seeing neither of those OEMs even in a single slot in the mulit-OEM bag. I would understand if someone liked a particular OEM the most, and had to pick a favorite slot due to the constraints of this exercise. I don't really see that happening.

It is interesting but I think the fact that you can't repeat OEMs throws a wrench into it for a lot of people. I'd honestly put the R1 or the G30 ahead of the X2 Hot I listed if I'm building the best scoring bag for me, but I used TM for my woods & PING for my irons. I would definitely have my current putter in there too but was pressed for a driver I'm familiar with. Don't know about everyone else, but I tried to stick to clubs I know or are similar to current/past gamers. Only stretches were the i25s, which I've hit and really are just an evolution of the i20s as far as I can tell, and the RTX 2.0, which I haven't hit, but I've gamed multiple CG wedges in the past. Minus the driver, I could game my listed bag with no issue. It's not too far off from my bag in my PB round this year:

Driver - X2 Hot
3W - RBZ Stage 2
5W - Cleveland Mashie F5
4H - Bridgestone J40
5-SW - PING i20
LW - Bridgestone J40
P - Bettinardi SS12

Your post has inspired me to mess around with some of my older clubs though. Gonna put the Stage 2 and F5 back in the bag for this weekend's round for old time's sake. :D
