Result of lightening striking the pin.

Today I'm playing and my partner pointed out that lightening struck the pin a few weeks ago. This is the aftermath after a few weeks of healing.

Yeah even if you don't get directly, most people are injured when the electricity runs on the ground. Trees are not your friend.

SHOCKING!!!!

Sorry about that, I had to. Looks pretty cool, I'm used to seeing pine trees that have been struck, its surprising how many trees in the Sierras have been hit.
 
Yikes, mother nature sure is powerful!
 
Wow those are crazy looking, Quite cool but crazy. Really makes to respect nature.
 
That is one of coolest and scary things I have seen. Just makes me think about all the times I have tried to squeeze a couple of extra holes in before the storm hit. Won't be doing that again
