Hahaha, it's gone with the freezing temps at night. 4 months or so and we should see it again. These are from Grapevine golf course which is right next to Cowboys and they share ground crews. Cowboys is green right now.

Many of the courses around here have bermuda fairways/tees, as is my yard. The weather has been so warm that my once dormant lawn is now greening up again. Never in a millions years would I have believed I would need to mow bermuda in January in North Carolina.

Our hydrangeas started budding a week ago. That normally happens in April. I was expecting huge flowers in 2016. Now I'll be lucky if the green leaves survive.

Pictures of the course

My Tuesday Evening League course completely flooded out during these storms in St. Louis over the holiday.

This is how hole 9 Normally looks from the clubhouse.

The whole course flooded.

Here is an Ariel view not flooded.

To make matters worse, the GM/superintendent and his family were over in Europe visiting family (he's from England) when all this was going on. They came home to their house being completely flooded. On a positive note, a gofundme page has been set up for his family and the St. Louis golf community's generosity is raising money quickly for him.

When I flew home for the holidays, we took a different flight path toward jfk which gave some great views of some courses. Here is Bethpage State Park. We also got a great view of liberty national and a better view of Bethpage but I didn't take any better pictures. For reference, the black course is the top back right course with the sand, green is to the right and red is on the left and top left where the green field (polo field) is.

Also while crossing the Whitestone Bridge I got a few pictures of Trump Ferry point, this one turned out the best. As of now a friend and myself are going to fly out and play it this summer. I've seen this course being built for as long as I can remember and I really can't wait to play it. Course looked beautiful when we drove past, picture really doesn't do it justice.

One of my best friends from HS lives up there and his basement had about 3' of water in it. The floods have been really bad this year but thankfully the river should be falling out soon. Lots of people in my area had to evacuate their homes. It's amazing how communities come together when times get tough. Hope your GC super is able to salvage some of his belongings and rebuild. Hoping for the best for him!

Nice pics, Cookie. That one with the green and drain kind of looks like a friendly Texas tornado.

wubears, that's just sad to see.

nighthawk, sweet pics.

Opening tee shot at Dormie Club yesterday:

Played for the first time since about thanksgiving. My home course is no longer flooded. Still a lot of water where it should not be.

The tee boxes are surrounded by water - usually dry.

First day of the new year with 25* out. Needless to say I had full reign of the course.
