No but I have been down near there a bit. Definitely a sleepy area with some gorgeous property and lakes and a very low cost of living.
i've been there once. didn't go to the nicest of areas. i saw a lot of nursing homes and assisted living communities. don't know much about the golf scene.

Hard for me to accept at times, but I guess it is good thing, being 55, I can rent a little cheaper with more apartment options. I don't need anything fancy, just maybe two rooms, kitchen and bath.
