Cleveland RTX-3 Wedges Review Thread

Finally got a chance to hit the demo clubs and as expected I am in love. 54 and 60 are being added first in 2 dot, just trying to decide if I should add the 50* still and replace the Apex AW.

I didn't see a ton of difference between the mid grind and low grind out of thick rough with these or any wedges in the past really.
 
The black satin holds up very nicely, that is impressive after 12 rounds. Ok ok ok 16th please arrive soon, I am like a kid on Christmas Eve here

Seriously thinking of adding a 58/60 mb. I have been having some issues with my pm grind lately and it needs a timeout.
50&54 in CB and then a lob mb.

Had a good day with the wedges today, lots of chips with the 58* and some good approaches with the 54*. Only had one shot with the 50* today but stuck if to 6 feet from about 85 yards.
The only thing I have noticed is that the 50* CB appears just a tad larger than the 54 and 58 MB. It just seems to catch my eye every time I pull it out to use. Not really a distraction, just seems like you have a bit more of club face area to hit. The forgiveness on the CB is very good.

I can't wait till DDG opens tomorrow to place my order. Going with Satin Black. 50/56 or 52/58 off a 46* PW.

Might sneak in a 2135 in the order too but that's for another thread

Not that you need any more convincing, but I love every one of these wedges. They deserve every bit of the hype they're getting!

Wouldn't pass up a 2135 either, love my 1.0. Those putter are fantastic.
You will really enjoy the wedges!!!
 
So, I was thinking about this over the weekend when I got some short game work in.

I love my MD3's, I mean LOVE. I also really really enjoy my SM6's. But these, the sole just makes them for me, the consistency of clean contact is staggering.

Plus, I'm in the minority but I freaking LOVE the satin finish on these.

I was like many at first, pretty bummed about no black finish (or raw, but I knew that wouldn't happen, ever) in the CB's, but after having them in hand, doesn't phase me in the least. Its a classic satin that wears really well.

I think for pure quality of contact sensation they have to get the nod as one of if not the best available right now.

While I think the satin finish is the best, like any other satin style finish, the wear does frustrate me. The little lines that form... while they don't change the performance, bug me.

27 holes over the weekend. I was finding myself just off the green multiple times I'm just amazed at how comfortable I feel with the 60 degree CB in my hand. I love reaching for these clubs. They look beautiful and the flat out feel good to hit. A lot of friends on the course have been trying them out and raving about them.

I'm with you brother - the satin finish looks awesome and wears great. These wedges will look fantastic with my Apex CF 16 irons. Looking forward to September 16th so that I can place an order.
 
Finally got a chance to demo these and I am seriously amazed at how good they felt. I ended up going with the 54 mb with mg grind.
I seriously could have gone with any of the grinds/lofts because they are so good but I just really liked the feel of the one I got.
Only buzzkill is that I have to wait for the wedge I preordered to get to my house instead of being able to get it today.
And I will be picking up a 58/60 at some point because they are sooo good feeling.

The worst part of pre-ordering is the wait!!!
 
I'm sure it will. Luckily was able to test before ordering but that sucks now because I know the awesomeness that awaits
 
Anyone try steel vs graphite on full shots?
