I never really got into photography, but my wife is starting too. I know it's expensive though, but I can't really argue cause my golf is also expensive.

Any who, those pictures are great!!

We have been Nikon shooters for a few years now, but recently went away from DSLR to the new Mirrorless systems. Absolutely love them. Crazy fast with incredible video.

Always been a fan of Nikon. Lenses seem to capture the clarity so well.

Those are good shots gussy, people are hard to shoot, hence why I like objects :)

Those are some great shots Gus, and the photos in your book are amazing Spazz.

We bought a Canon DSLR a couple years back, but mainly for when we remember to take photos of the kids.

Actually JB, you and GG were one of the reason I looked at and ended up going nikon.

I actually like the mirror-less systems as well... But the shutter speed and frames a second just aren't there yet. I think they replace all but the professional dsl's in the next 4 or 5 years.

I ran out of witty tapatalk signatures...

Thank you ad!

I shoot with a Nikon D200.

Lenses: 50mm f 1.4, 18-70mm f3.5-4.5, 70-300mm f 4.0-5.6 (all Nikkor)

Nate those pics are amazing. I especially love the one of the clouds reflecting on the lake. I'd pay for that one and frame it.

My friend is a good photographer. Not sure what he uses, but his pics come out nice.

Why thanks, D! I'm fortunate, on a good day, to be able to walk out to my backyard and just see that.

Yeah dude. Your yard looks gorgeous right on the lake like that.

Shooting with my trusty d50. Spent all of my money on my golf clubs...but I love borrow lenses.com to get my shoot on...

These were taken on a 14mm fisheye

JN - fabulous!

Thanks for the complements everyone! It's something I have been trying to learn and get better at!

Nate: Those are some fantastic shots! I have to make it a trip to get any really good photography done, but I do try to get 200-300 photos every time the fiance and I travel.

Spazz: That is some spectacular macro work! I never really got the hang of Macro, and I don't know anyone around here that shoots it enough to be able to teach me. I tried to learn on my own but the depth of field stuff was really tough.

Damikis: A camera doesn't make great photos- a photographer does! I have a buddy that won a couple contests, all with pictures he took from his iphone. I guess it's the same as golf- the really good golfers could play with a can tied to a stick and still whip me.

Thank you Rx... Actually never used macro lens, just have a really steady hand and get lucky with light. Used a 28-55mm lens on some, an 85mm on others. The skyscapes that form the base of the digital paintings I shot with a cell phone.

Thanks, all! Spazz, those are some nifty macro shots. Gus - amazing photos there, especially of the people (I'm more of a portrait photographer myself). Perry - some great stuff there.

You guys have some sick photos! I love the depth of field shots JN and spazz, I agree with Gus on the macros! Gus your photos capture the spirit of the children, great framing and expressions! This is going to be a great thread.

Gus...some STUNNING shots in this recent group! And Tomahawk, nice shots as well! You need to get a macro of your new mohawk, LOL.

I shot with an Olympus E3. Most of my shots are of nature, landscapes, and Jeeps.

Some AWESOME stuff there, CM! I especially like your time-lapse work.

Great pictures, I've never had an eye for photography myself but my wife has recently gotten into it, she had a Nikon D7000 currently.

CM-
Those are some great snaps!
The death valley picture is incredible. I love the interplay of obviously man made features and nature that has reclaimed them.

Great camera there!

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the compliments.
