Here are some pictures from the wedge shoot out of clubs and what we are working with. We hope everybody enjoys the results when they come out.

These photos are only of the 60* variety of each wedge.

The question has to be asked, with so much similarity between the aesthetics of all the wedges, can there be that much difference?

The answer is it seems to be. Each person has shown much different performance with almost every wedge tested so far. And each player has said that no two feel the same.

The anti-glare finish seems to have hit the scene pretty fast. Almost all of them look not to be "chrome" from those pics.

Looking forward to the results.

That 73* wedge is just redonkulous.

What is the one, thrid up from the ball pics, right above the copper looking one, face shots? I like that headshape a lot.
I'm also, for some reason, very curious how the new Wilson ones rate.

Lots of beautiful looking clubs on that table, but I've got to say, I am in LOVE with the look of that bronze-finished Bridgestone.

Looks like a Eidolon logo.

You and me both. The black one looks nice, as well.

It would be darn hard to keep those two anonymous!

Scooter,
It is an Eidolon.

I think the Eidolon wedges will perform well in the shootout. I wouldn’t trade mine for anything right now.

that camera takes awesome, crispy clear photos

That seems like a hard metric to quantify....I would have troubles because the heads are basically all the same.... Now...start changing the volume of the grooves, sharpness and milling and then you have a tangible variable to deal with... I also think differences in SW would play a big part as, to me, that is an important characteristic.

i didnt think i would be able to tell much of a difference either, but i did. it was really surprising

That is not correct though. The faces may look very similar, but take a look at the back of the wedges and every single one of them is different. Weight in different places, etc...Different forging or casting processes, different metals, and different edges. All very different feeling.

Yeah, I think weighting -- both total head weight and distribution of the weight on the club -- makes a huge difference, perhaps even more than the groves (aren't almost all of them using pretty high volume, sharp edged, CNC milled groves these days?).

Thanks. I'm still seeking "THE PERFECT" couple of wedges!

Having met you Scooter, I have a feeling you will always be searching. You are a tinkerer...hehe. We are glad you are THP's tinkerer.

I did find all my woods though, only took 485 different ones, but finally found the keepers!

Till next month...hehe

Here are some great pictures of each wedge that was used in this shoot out. I hope you like them as much as we do.
