Is there any thing to do in the area me and my wife are going down fri & sat don't want to go into chicago. Also which is better to come down 94 or 47

It depends what you like? If you're avoiding the city... there's a casino in Elgin... A couple wineries & micro-breweries in the area & great restaurants. There's Woodfield mall, if you're into that.

There will be a bunch of local tests going on around that time. Will know more a time gets closer though.
If your into trains, the train museum in Rockford is pretty cool.

Yep, I think it was like $60 for a king bed and $70 to 2 doubles plus taxes, pretty darn good price for any Hilton property

Especially in that area. This one is all very close to O'Hare, if there are any people thinking of flying in. Not that I'm expecting it or anything, but Midway would be a much longer drive.
