Bridgestone to begin new demo program in March

Anyone else thinking about what to demo? I'm looking at deciding between the DPC's and CB's. First shaft I am interested in is the Aerotech going off of the options on the website. As I've made glaringly obvious though is that I'm hoping the recoils might be an option as well. KBS Tours are always a solid option as well

Thats exactly what I am thinking Chunky....it's the only way I know we can get the opportunity to hit the Aerotech shafts

Great idea. Hope I can take advantage of this.

I think we are all interested in those shafts.

What ever happened to this? I havn't heard anything about it. I was looking forward to testing some things.

I'm not sure. I have talked to them twice a in the last couple months and they kept pushing back the date

Site is now live: http://testdrive.bridgestonegolf.com/

The good part: you check out 4 clubs at a time.
The bad part: Bridgestone puts a hold on your credit card for the full value of all of those clubs. So for 4 drivers, you're looking at a CC hold of about $2000 or more. :-(

This really is a great program. I also understand the cc hold.

I understand the reason behind it, but it does make it kinda prohibitive for most. I would probably have to get a new credit card just for the hold.

Looks like the hold is placed and immediately dropped, so it shouldn't really have an affect at all. Probably just done to ensure the renter has the available credit line if they were to steal the clubs.

I can understand the need for some kind of hold or else they'd be bleeding clubs. We do the same here for warranty material/parts. I'm going to charge you for the replacement then credit it back to you when I get the original back. Make people fork over some cash and they get real particular about sending in the damaged product for credit.

Does this program have anything to do with the fact that you can't buy clubs directly from Bridgestone anymore? Sorry if this is a skim. I always thought they had a great customization setup online. I went today to look at purchasing a J40 Wedge and wanted it tweaked some. I discovered you cannot even buy clubs from their website right now. The faq says they do not have a retail license. Anyone have any info about this? Is it temporary?

That is weird b/c just last week they had all their clubs available for sale through: http://shop.bridgestonegolf.com/ and now all you can purchase is softgoods...wonder what changed?

Has anyone actually taken advantage of this? I was thinking about this the other day.

I looked into the wedges two weeks ago. Got the go ahead from the wife but shipping to Puerto Rico was not an option. It is really difficult to get demos from retail stores here.
This really would have been a good option. A year and a half ago when I was looking at irons I was between the DPC and the AP1s. I couldn't hit the J40s anywhere and it was hard to spend 700 on clubs wo trying them first.

I need to remember to check this out, very cool of them!
