Is this what brings wearables to the future? Perhaps not this, but something like this?

The proto has been around for about a year and did funding.
Rumor has it, these are up for pre-order
 
wow that is nifty looking. I don't think I could make it a week without breaking it.

it seems bulky to me, but the concept isn't all that bad.

These will be out and on wrists before the end of 2014 it appears.
Im sure in the future, the SD part changes.

Fast Forward 12 months. Then Apple will come out with the iWatch and the world will say "How did we live without this". Haha.

Looks cool, but also seems uncomfortable. I would be too worried about scratching it up or banging it against something.
 
These looks quite interesting and handy. Not quite for me a little too big for my liking.
 
I've never worn a watch or anything like that, probably not for me. Nonetheless, very interesting and I'm sure a lot of people would be convenienced by one of these.

You can count on it being more fashionable then this monstrosity.
 
Also, look at the images. These are clearly renders since then iOS bar showing sign strength and battery life is in the image.

I'm calling shens.
 
I wonder what the four brass post are for? Charging? Pulse measurement?

I have to ask. How is this any different than talking into a phone?

My watches have sapphire crystal faces. While not scratch proof (they are scratch resistant), they put up with a lot more abuse than standard glass*. I imagine devices like this will be made with such a screen, or something of similar durability** (i.e., Gorilla Glass).

*For some reason I always wind up hitting my watch faces with my seat belt buckle. Every time it happened with the generic glass watch face, it cracked them. When I finally switched to a sapphire face I haven't had to replace a single one.

**If they can get it to fit in such a shape.
