Edgewood at Tahoe is one of my favorites. Can't beat the weather in Lake Tahoe in the summer!

Keep the info coming guys and gals.
Thanks to those that have chimed in so far.

Not sure it matters or not, but Top Golf just opened up a new location that is literally across the street from Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale. It would be another entertainment option for those staying at that particular resort.

You speaking of the Edgewood in NV?
That would not be part of what was asked in the 1st post.

You are correct, although a little nit picky. Edgewood is not a resort course or a casino course but it is open to the public and has 4 Casinos with thousands of rooms available within a few hundred yards of it's entrance.

Its also not in either of the 2 states listed in the 1st post as criteria.

Sorry, I didn't read the first post very carefully. I don't remember the layout well enough, but you can hit a shot over one of the Edgewood greens 15 yards and be in California and hook your tee shot 40 yards on the next hole and also be in California. I suppose that's not close enough since only the bad golfers get to play Edgewood from California.:act-up:

Keep them coming.
For all the talk each year about wanting a west coast event, sure hope we get a few more in here discussing.

I would like to try to make a west coast event.

As for the AZ courses, Talking Stick which is just so nice and The Raven are among my favorites.

CA? Anything in the desert resorts would be super nice I bet. Carlsbad maybe?

*Full disclosure* have not read the entire thread so I may have duplicated, but wanted to contribute to this request for information.

California is easy: A little resort called Pebble Beach

I would rather see it at an awesome resort like Lacosta for a major fraction of the price than pebble and its sad face lodging costs.

Agree...I'm semi decent at getting deals but want no part in that fiasco at pebble

I said it before, LaCosta would be a really good location for a THP event.

Roddy Ranch is good and usually you can find good green fee deals there, but I don't think it's THP event worthy.

Have fun this weekend and be prepared for some elevation change.

I am just trying to give sugestions the more options the better

I agree. More is better. The requirements that JB set is sort of difficult. Resort/casino or famous not in Palm Springs. CA has many great courses, but most resort and casino courses are in PS. Famous ones are easy to come by, but price could be the issue.

AZ might have more options after you eliminate the 50 or so resorts in PS.

I hope you do a review. I looked a the site and that place looks really good.

I hope the level of activity in the thread isn't indicative of interest. I know that I am extremely interested in participating. Unfortunately, I just don't know much about potential facilities in these areas.

I would totally think about travel for there haha

I would like to see it post renovation. The time I played it was during construction.

What the hell, why not throw something out there? I've always wanted to play Torrey Pines. Two phenomenal and different courses. It isn't a resort / casino but the SD area is gorgeous and has plenty to do so presumably we could set up shop somewhere central for social stuff and commute to golf.

How should one measure interest?

Does THP have a lot of west coast members? I honestly don't know and most of the guys I notice seem to be on the east coast or mid west.

Amazing courses and areas out that way I would be down for a little travel depending in the logistics
