I am not sure if this was mentioned in here, or on the broadcast, are they allowed to ground the club in that native grass stuff off the fairway?
 
I think it really depends on where it lies in that stuff. But right now they are playing it safe and asking there official and just not grounding the clubs in it.

Makes sense. They are probably comfortable not grounding the club anyway. Better safe than sorry.
 
Course is looking pretty nice. Tough, but nice. Was really impressed with Fitzpatrick (a). He has a bright future on the tour.

he was my first choice because of that. Usually seems like a good guy for US Opens.

I figured most would go with that too...I didn't want to, but in the end, you can't win if you're not in the draw. So I went Phill, Furyk, and Stenson too.
