The Official 2013-2014 NBA Thread

and now Cavs are heading after Ray Allen according to Broussard

I don't mind seeing Lebron as a PF in spurts but it's going to wear on him if he has to defend NBA PFs alot.

That's why Miami didn't work like they wanted them to. LeBron spent a lot of time defending the 4 and he hates that and it took a toll on him

I'm hoping for a Lebron return to CLE. I'm also hoping Melo goes to CHI, so we finally have a few decent teams in the East and make things a little more competitive, instead of hoping a bi polar Pacers team shows up and puts the pieces together to make it to the finals.

Sadly though, I'm bracing for a Melo/Lebron/Wade/ possible Bosh team in MIA with McRoberts a real good player in his own right.

The Cavs are all in. Next thing you know they are going to be trying to sign Jay-Z.

Pat Riley better make a big time pitch today to LBJ!

twitter says now that the Celtics have some trade bait, they are talking to Minny about Love

Which they have been for months. Deal is on, then its off, then it needs more, then it needs less.
Im convinced that these experts are as bright as the NFL draft ones...

Chris Mannix also said that Cleveland could be in play for Love too... they have something that the Celtics cannot offer.. Andrew Wiggins.

They'd have to send a lot more salary back in that case if they still want LeBron (unless LeBron is a sign and trade).

Id imagine Love would be the backup plan if LBJ doesn't return home.

Love and Lebrons contract? is that possible

Will likely have to send back at least Irving (and probably Varejao) along with lots of picks.

Minny is not desperate to get rid of Love and it seems like they have had several competing offers.

With the right creative accounting and structuring, anything is possible!

Yeah Flip has a tendency to work things out and thinks this can be repaired...He is wrong.

Eff that not worth it...Kyrie isn't going anywhere

Hey lebron welcome to Cleveland we traded away the best pg you will have ever played with. No worries though we will call Mo Williams up lol

I have a feeling Minny will end up keeping love for the year and end up with their hands in their pants as he leaves with nothing in return to the Wolves. Minny thinking that they have any shot at retaining Love after this season is ridiculous. They are looking at many years of continued mediocrity with their draft record.

Haha the band is reuniting. Cavs in pursuit of Mike Miller

Here is the "Letter" rewritten by ESPN

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight:
As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer could be a Cleveland Cavalier again.
This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.
People are talking about it on Twitter, so you know, I am kind of pumped.
Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing exciting to all of us.
The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you are trying really hard to sign that guy.
There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.
You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal to wear his jersey again and cheer for a winning team.
You have given so much and deserve so much more.
In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:
"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER 'KING' WINS ONE" WHEN WE SIGN THE KING BACK ON OUR TEAM!!"
You can take it to the bank. Woooooo!
If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you thatthis shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own the rumors on Twitter haveshifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.
Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.
Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.
This shocking act of disloyalty interest from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact oppositelesson of what we would want our children to learn. You can always go home again! And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.
But the good news is that this heartless and callous action his return can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio. We won't be really bad anymore!
Our The self-declared former "King" will be bringing taking the "curse" his talents with him down southback home! And until when he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma throw a massive parade in his honor.
Just watch.
Sleep well, Cleveland.
Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day ...
I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:
DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue ... when King James RETURNS TO CLEVELAND!

Pursuing Ray Allen, Mike Miller and James Jones... whats next... Boobie Gibson and Big Z????

Also seeing reports that Melo is really wanting Lebron to come to NYC and play for the Knicks. Phil is supposedly trying to make it happen.
