Seen this type of game on other forums and I wanted to see how it would work here. If this is successful then I can extend this and possibly give out some goodies to the "winners".
What Forum Golf is, it's a game in which there are members of the forums pitted against each other and other members decide their fate using a certain game system.
To keep this golf related, we will use golf terms and the golf scoring system.
Rules:
-Each player will start at E
-Each player can only be picked 9 times* (see mulligan)
-One members can post what they want to happen to their "victim" by posting whether they want to birdie, par, bogey, or mulligan them.
--Birdie is -1
--Par is E (no stroke)
--Bogey is +1
--Mulligan removes their last stroke and replaces it with a new one of your choice. This does not take away a hole as it replaces a hole.
---Only one mulligan is allotted per hole for each golfer.
-There are no eagles or better and no double bogeys or worse. The most any player can get is one stroke per hole.
-The holes are not based off any course. You are the hole and you decide what stroke they get.
-There are no par 3, 4, or 5s. One stroke per hole.
-You can only chose one player to be affected. If you chose multiple players, the first pick is your pick.
-Any scores given after the players round is over are null and void.
-Any edited posts will be null and void (how do I know if you changed your original though?)
Post format:
PLAYER STROKE (hole)
Example I want to give Tiger a birdie on the first hole:
Tiger -1 (1)
Then I want to give Tiger a bogey on the second:
Tiger E (2)
Another THPer says, I don't like that, mulligan and replace with birdie:
Tiger -2 (2) The mulligan removes the bogey and is replace with the birdie, Tiger is now done with the second hole.
Since this is a beta trial I will use golfer names and see how this works.
Tiger Woods
Phil Mickelson
Rory McIlroy
Bubba Watson
Arnold Palmer
I will start off:
Palmer -1 (1)
