I should be the final member of Team Basement Dweller for a few reasons. I'm playing the best golf of my life right now; I've been working hard on my game over the last year and would be able to put in even more work over the next month. Also, I'm a trash talking specialist. The ZooCrew won't know what hit them. Finally, I'm ready to make sure everyone involved has a blast and the most memorable experience possible, all while representing THP as best as I can. Thanks for this tremendous opportunity and good luck to everyone entering.
 
Why you should be the final member of Team Basement Dweller?

A lot of things have changed for me in the past year, and more will hopefully change next year.... but a part of this change will mean less and less golf. I don't deserve to be the final member more than anyone else. I just know that my chances at being a part of THP greatness are probably few and far between (due to proximity/finances/timing). It would seriously be the chance of a lifetime to be a part of this. Something that I would always appreciate and cherish. Something life-changing, something truly special.
 
Lot's of great entries so far. There are so many very original and sincere entries this one will be hard to choose from, and I don't envy those who have to make that choice. All I know is, this is the last chance, for the last dance of the 2014 THP Calendar, and there is nooooooo twerking allowed! lol

Time to bring it! Can't wait to welcome the last member to the team! THIS Friday marks 30 days out!
 
Awesome opportunity for one final person! Best of luck to all! I have been battling some recent neck issues so I think I better pass on trying again for this years Grandaddy. This is going to be awesome to watch and I cant wait to find out who the final Basement Dweller is!
 
I know there are alot of incredible people on here that deserve this amazing opportunity. I REALLY want this so bad. I love the game of golf more than I can express in this post. I try to either practice or play at least once every weekend to continue to try to improve in so many aspects of my game. Plus, to be able to be apart of an amazing group of guys to attempt accomplish something the #ZooCrew think is impossible. I just would love this great chance to help any way I can to bring home a victory for the Basement Dwellers.
 
I don’t make excuses. I don’t half ass. I take pride in the success of my teammates and the #basementdwellers are a team. I am not intimidated or scared of anything #thezoocrew can throw at me. On top of that, Jason Finley doesn’t win when I am around.

Beyond the competition, having met #thezoocrew in September I gained a respect for their business and world. To be able to see the home base for all of those great releases and ideas would really complete that circle.

When I joined THP earlier this year, it was to get my soul back into the game. Little did I know how much my expectations would be exceeded. The Forum drew me in from the start. My practice has purpose, my game has elevated. Golf is fun again.

The Gauntlet introduced me to team golf, where I learned, thrived, and never gave up. Most importantly, the memories & friendships I've made in both THP and ZooCrew camps will always be cherished.

Love of the game, memories and friendships. The TRUE Spirit of THP & The Grandaddy. Yes PLEASE!

I bleed THP green and would love nothing more than to bring the championship home. I feel so loyal to THP and sometimes it’s difficult to describe that. But let me try, THP is my family and home away from home. I would bring passion; desire and determination as well as my A game, but also make sure I help and support every teammate to help them play their best as well. I handle trash talking well and can dish it out just as easily. The ZooCrew doesn’t know the pain and punishment about to be dealt to them.

For my 1st 40 odd years I was always a competitive (contact sports) team player.
Then the ugly truth reared it's head, I got old.
A few years back golf crept back in to the picture. The old body said 'we can do this'
Enter THP! The addiction begins.
Along comes #thegrandaddy sparking the competive fibres in my body.
Woah, what's this! some @CallawayGolf #zoocrew members attempting some trash talk.
A team player like me is needed to bring the title to where it belongs, @THPGolf

I would be the sleeping dog that nobody would dream would be a factor in the #Grandaddy. Most would look at me and think, “this guy’s probably average, at best, what can he do for the Basement Dwellers?”
Really? I’ve beaten Finley. I’ve beaten Sullivan. Goryl isn’t even a blip on the radar. Hashtag has his hair to worry about. I’m not scared of anyone else in that Zoo Crew, either.
Battle tested. No fear. Winner. THP loyal lifer. And besides, we’ll be using the best clubs on the market! How could we lose?! Beat them with their own tools!!
 
I should be a member of Team Basement Dwellers for two reasons:

First, I “get it,” meaning I understand that this event is much more than just getting stuff. It is the event that brings this forum together; it’s an opportunity to share an incredibly fun experience with thousands of people, and to build a unique bond with a few great guys.

Second, I have a proved that I succeed under pressure. Harry and Finley can attest that I am #OutingApproved and I’ve taken down #Chad and Scott Goryl at #TheKing, being nominated MVP of our team for my contributions.

I would be a great addition to the team because i would not be distracted by the Callaway swager and showmanship i am all bussiness on the course and am dieing to get my shot at the zoocrew. If i am allowed to play they would not know what hit them it would be like the bug on the Big Rigs window. Plus being from NorCal I already have a built in dislike for any thing/one from below the grapevine and i am prepared to focus that energy on the zoocrew. I would also love a chance to meet THP in person from across the country and THP needs a native Californian in a California Event.
 
I put in the hard work last winter and it showed when my team had an epic battle with Captain #Cookie's team at the Lake Charles Invitational. Then I went 3-0 and was named an MVP at #TheKing.

I believe my game is mentally and physically prepared for the task of becoming the final member of Team Basement Dweller. I love to compete and I can't wait to give THP my all against a worthy opponent in the #ZooCrew at #TheGrandaddy and to bring the title home to THP where it belongs.

I don’t think there would be any greater THP golf honor than to be part of the team that goes to California as winners, and leaves as champions. I’ve felt the pressure of the Morgan Cup and want that feeling again. Only this time, I will win. My #legacy will be forged in December as one of the players who followed #Cookie and took down the #zoocrew. There would be nothing better than to “shoosh” them Patrick Reed style as Byron sinks the clinching putt.

I love the game of golf and I love THP even more.

I would love to be a part of this amazing event for several reasons:
1) I was lucky to play with Cookie in Florida, and he is the guy I would go to bat for any day of the week
2) last years experience was something for the ages, if this is even half that, it will be legendary
3) seeing Hastag's hair in person
4) getting to compare lenses with Harry
5) to hear Finley's evil super villain cackle
6) to see Finley's face when we beat them :)
7) this would be the golfing experience of a lifetime, with the Zoo Crew from Callaway and 9 brothers from THP, who wouldn't want to do this????

#thegrandaddy is the ultimate weekend away with the guys and two very awesome women. The experience will be like none other. I never want to see people fail or lose. I want people to win and achieve big things. For me, this event is my dreaming big. I want to achieve in this. Nothing in my golf life could be bigger than this. I can’t guarantee the outcome but I can definitely promise I will give every member of THP and #teambasementdwellers my all, before, during and after #thegrandaddy. Go THP!

I should be the final selection for Team Basement Dwellers because of my love of the game and of THP.
I found THP 4 years ago while doing equipment research and instantly found my online golf home.
The camaraderie and the atmosphere at THP is second to none. I have been inspired to work on my game more than ever and I am playing the best golf of my life.
I desperately want to join TBD and represent THP in our quest to defeat the Callaway ZooCrew and bring #TheGrandaddy belt home to its rightful place. #InternetGolfersUnite!
 
Clive75 is chomping at the bit to get back into The Grandaddy. ATLGolfer (and Seth Diamond) have another suggestion.


When I think about The Grandaddy, I really just think about family. I cannot, in good conscience, try to fill a spot for this event when I really want my THP family to experience this pure awesomeness firsthand.

If a former DreamTeam member should attend this year's Grandaddy, it should be Hawk -- he can take another shot at Harry (and also get a better teammate for the team formats...)

Or it could be TexasHacker -- he needs another shot for redemption against Finley.

Or it could be GregDan -- who needs to face someone who won't drop seven straight 3's on him during a match (proving that closed head injuries can help your game)

Or it could be Paul -- The Big Kielbasa is always welcome in California.

Or it could be TPluff -- no longer a young gun, and can show the BasementDwellers the ropes.

Or it could be JLukes -- so someone can continue the eagle streak at Hideaway.

Or it could be T2GRN -- that graybeard would rally the troops like no other.


Of course, the last Team THP member could be someone who has never experienced the sheer awesomeness that Callaway provides to its guests. Someone who can truly understand the meaning of family that is constantly echoed by the DreamTeam.


I love you all. And, I would put on my running shoes now and start jogging towards Carlsbad if I had the chance. But, this last spot isn't meant for me.

I'll be watching -- with eyes as big as dinner plates and a smile from ear to ear. I simply cannot wait to see Callaway and THP do the impossible and top last year's experience.

At U-Haul, there is a saying I think applies very much to this event, E x KH = R. E is energy, KH is Know How and when both are increased, so are the desired R, or results. The Granddaddy is the ultimate event, where THP and Callaway come together creating an amazing experience. Callaway comes to the table with Know How in spades. What I will bring is the energy needed: tireless practice, study, communication and preparation to help bring home #thedos. Combine both together, and the results will be a victory. Nothing will be taken for granted.
 
2014 hasn’t been the year I expected it to be, in many ways. Two things kept my spirit up: my beautiful baby daughter and the game of golf.

For me, golf isn’t about shiny new equipment, not about being the best player on the planet. It’s about having fun, about doing something I love, the best I can. It’s about enabling others to have fun and to perform. I want to bring that mind-set to Team THP. That way, we can’t lose. The worst that can happen is we don’t win.

Kicker: Being European, I’m wired to win matchplay events.

I have been a member and a moderator on multiple forums, so I have seen my fair share of message boards. It has been just over 2 years since I joined THP, and I must say this forum is a completely different experience. You don't have to be scared to post as there is no flaming or hatred passed around.

Why should I be the final member? Simply because I believe in the same values as the forum presents. And I would like to meet the wonderful people and sponsors that make it such a great place.

Why does this mean so much to me? Why does it bother me when my name isn’t called? The answer is simple, THP is family & I want to make my family proud.

I want to be the final member so I can represent THP, build a lasting bond with my team & have fun. Of course I have the competitive fire & my game will speak for itself come December. The bigger accomplishment will be representing this great community, giving Team Basement Dwellers all I have & making Josh & Morgan proud regardless of the outcome. #TheDos
