ME: CPA! CPA! CPA!
'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman (Beatles song for those that don't know)

I’m an aircraft mechanic. I work as a civilian contractor for the USAF, working/fixing/loading weapons systems on the greatest close air support and combat search and rescue aircraft ever designed and built...the A-10 Warthog.
Awesome! I'm an Air Force brat and we spent 5 years at bases in the UK with the A-10 as the main aircraft on the base along with HH-53 Jolly Green Giant helicopters. (y)

I am a director of operations for a large upscale retailer.

Work in IT Management. Lead a team of Infrastructure Solutions / Solution Architecture-type team for a fairly large ( multi-billion in revenue ) HR SaaS provider.

I’m taking a shot in the dark but was it Bentwaters/Woodbridge one of the bases you were at? My old unit in Germany got the A-10’s from there once they inactivated the squadrons from the UK. Those are the only bases I know of that had A-10’s and Jolly Green’s.

Nothing, I work for the local county. :ROFLMAO:

Actually, after years of CCP and investigations work back home in Australia, I now work for the county sewer department. We're #1 with your #2's!!

Yep, it sure was. We were there from 81-86. ?

I'm actively looking for work in Houston as we have to move back to be with my in-laws who are experiencing health problems. I'll be looking at outside sales roles and remote roles. We've been working remotely as recruiters so we could travel and live in other countries (so far Costa Rica, Spain, Croatia and Mexico). We'd love to get back to Mexico again one day, so a remote opportunity would be great!

I NEVER WANTED TO BE A "SALESMAN! But here I am...doing Medical Device Sales and couldn't be happier with my company the products I get to sell.

I work in IT in the casino industry in Vegas as my main job. My side thing is investing in rental properties and stuff like that. My dream is to retire early in ~5 years and pursue my bucket list of golf courses to play around the world!

I was a reinsurance broker. Retired early set up a golf travel company....I spent all the profits of that taking golf trips. Now I'm a rater for a golf magazine which doesn't pay but allows access to so many golf courses...:LOL:(y)

I manage a sales team for a software company. I am still trying to figure out what I do for a career but I have been doing this for 31 years so this is probably it.

I’m a building engineer at a large tech company.

In project management and engineering management! Love some technical challenges.

Social media and events marketing manager for an automotive manufacturer.

I own and operate a small coffee shop in an office building with my wife. We’ve never been happier and business has been great these last few years, I really hope we can sustain this for a long time..... there’s nothing like working for yourself.

Thats awesome and such a great way to meet people. My wife was a barista at a coffee shop for a few years and loved getting to know the regulars

My wife and I work for nonprofit doing campus ministry at the university we graduated from. I am hoping to go to medical school within the next few years and become a physician.

That’s our favorite part about owning the shop! We are in a state building and we see the same people almost every single day. We are located in the lobby so you have to walk past us to get in the building.

I used to work here for someone else in my mid 20s (10 years ago) and we bought it from them 4 years ago. So I’ve known some of my customers 10 years!

The business was failing epically when we bought it, so we only paid $4500 for the complete business. We bought all new equipment, became coffee obsessed, and turned it around. Blows my mind every single day that this is what we get to do for a living.

Curious as to what my fellow THPers do for a living. Let’s hear it!

My newest title is Informatics Lead. I am a numbers guy.

Owned and operated a swimming pool repair business in SW Fl, and my son is running that show now.
Moved to TN in 2008 and helped my wife open a gym which we still own and operate.
The money tree wilted, and I began driving a school bus in 2010 and still do, and have a 20 hr per week job with the school transportation dept. doing driver compliance, and handle viewing bus video for when the kids are bad....which is often.
