watching football games on a cruise is weirdly one of my favorite things. People supporting every team in roughly equal amounts makes for a very unique experience. This was my Apple Tags letting me know that I left the room and the room is in the Atlantic Ocean.
Dinner from yesterday. 16 oz Ribeye that never saw the sunrise.

In our experience, Celebrity, Princess and Disney are not a bunch of drunks falling all over each other. Royal Caribbean is a craps shoot depending on time of year and makeup of the passengers. Are there any cruises/ cruise lines that aren't simply drunkfests? I have been on a couple of cruises, neither was anything but just a ship full of people acting like fools and drinking like they were back in college.
I don't know that they're much worse than any other major tourist destination where you get large groups from all over bringing germs from random places. While Cruises look like a lot of fun, the thought of catching something always has me look else where for vacation ideas.
SeeI don't know that they're much worse than any other major tourist destination where you get large groups from all over bringing germs from random places.
That said I did catch Covid on our Disney cruise in June.
Yeah I can see that…But nobody else in the family caught anything, and none of us caught anything on our cruise a few years before that, so technically we're 5 for 6 staying healthy, which at .833 is Hall of Fame numbers
Not sure it's any worse than flying, going to Disney World, any other theme park, etc.
Not worth it, given the perks you don’t getHas anyone been in a suite on Royal Caribbean? They are not cheap!
First of all, use a travel agent. It won't cost you anything, might save you money, and you won't have to deal with terrible customer service that seems to plague every industry.I have a guy that I worked with a while back that did cruises several times a year. He would tell me his daughter, who's about 15 now, would almost always be the youngest member to the platinum club when they would ask for oldest/youngest on their cruise. They were going like 3-4 times a year.
So those that cruise regularly, help a newbie out. We've never entertained the thought of a cruise for various reasons, at least for me. However our 25th anniversary is next year and told my wife I would like for just the 2 of us to do something besides the normal Florida stuff and would like to do it around our anniversary month of May.
So let's talk cruise lines, who you think has the best whatever.... bang for buck, best ship, best experience, etc? Also what's everyone's take on cabins. I think a balcony would be awesome but for a first times, better to do an inside cabin? Deals, any sites better than others, best to book direct via the cruise line or a travel agent or a website? Getting the best price, better to book early or wait till later/last minute for the best deal?
Any advise is welcome.....
I might have been a man overboard during that game.
