2017 Staff Proto Travel Thread

haha nice.

Can't remember if I posted it or not......

Flight coming in Friday the 29th at 1030.
Flight leaving monday at like 630

Hoping to either hit the course with camp/Rambler if they want or hit up casino haha
 
orrrr maybe Top Golf? Never been to one before and I have heard the one at vegas is sweet
 
Itinerary with times will be out soon. It just remember Friday night is a very important evening and it will take place fairly early we believe. So if ou are golfing or doing something else, prepare to play early enough.

thanks for the heads up JB! are we talking mid afternoon like 3ish? or more like 5 ish?

If we want to play, I think i have seen at least 4 of us will be in town early enough and probably be able to play by 1115-1130 right? I'm not sure what the typical pace of play is out there but if the evening doesn't start till after 430 should be plenty of time to play and clean up before hand

It will Be Cart Path only if you are playing TPC. So if you are teeing off at 1130 finishing, cleaning up and being somewhere by 4:30 would be really tough. But it won't be 4:30, be a bit later.

It will be just a couple of weeks out of overseeing, so that's probably why. When u played there with OITW on Wednesday it was cart path only on the par threes, but not the rest of the course.

Beware Vegas drive time traffic - it gets pretty heavy.

What hotels/casinos are you guys looking at?
I keep scanning the rates for casinos near the MGM or on the MGM monorail.

Gentlemen, my wife and youngest son were going to join me...however he has a baseball conflict.
Is there anyone that would entertain a roommate? Thought it might be more fun with some company.
If not, it's no problem.

You will be glad about this long term. We have a lot of events where families can be involved, this one sadly would have left them pretty isolated from early morning through night time.
 
Yeah, I was quietly rooting for the baseball!
 
I am booked.

I will be there early on Friday and be around through Monday afternoon.

A late round on Sunday...after lunch and socializing may work out if anyone will be around.
 
Ok guys 15 days until we tee it off. I know a few of us are getting in pretty early. Any chance people want to play a round? Whether it's at tpc Lv or another one? If dinner is around 5 or 6 I think we could do an 11-1130 tee time and be back correct? I'm going to ask camp since he's local and knows traffic patterns and what not.

If y'all early strivers don't want to play, any chance anyone wants to hit up either the top golf or the casinos for a bit? Something to get to know each other maybe?

I'd be up for something. If its golf, I'd have to join up mid-round since I won't be there until around 12:30.
 
I won't be getting in a Friday round. Going to make a jaunt to the Hoover Dam after landing, for a quick tourist stop, then I'll be back into Vegas to check in and meet up with anyone who is available.

BTW, a little weird getting golf bag ready by pulling irons out of the bag. LOL

I decided not to pack my current gamers so I'm out for golf on Friday.
I'm still up for some TopGolf or gambling Friday afternoon and an extra Sunday afternoon round after the event officially concludes.

Just a thought.

Apparently (and camp can provide some info Maybe on it) the course next door to TPC Las Vegas has a lot 9 hole course. Would anyone be up to playing after the Sunday lunch? An extra round with the new irons would be sweet

Since I am not leaving until Monday evening, I am up for whatever...this sounds pretty good.

I might be up for that, depending on what else might be going on (including what plans W/S folks, and JB have, post-event).
