Arizona vs Texas A Call Out Thread: Fixin to Drunk Post

@Nate may have to sneak me into Austin since I'm not allowed there, but would be a fun place to have this shindig at!

Also, so much amazing BBQ in the Austin area. Hit up Lockhart this past weekend (Kreuz) and it was incredible, as always!

Great Tex-Mex scene as well.... 6th street is awesome (assuming its all opened back up!)

If we want to do it up right, I can price together a swag bag for folks attending; see what we can get custom made at a discount to make it feel more like an experience :sneaky:

I keep hearing about this Salt Lick BBQ in the reviews??? Please advise
The original Salt Lick is in Driftwood southwest of Austin. They opened one a few years ago in Round Rock. I've heard it not quite as good as the original but it's still pretty tasty. Just one option of many.

You boys are sure lathering on the who will be the worst golfer. I have a feeling the laughter will be high with the group being assembled here.

We could make a plaque or trophy for whoever shoots the highest net score over the weekend.

My group does that in our big tournament coming up in October. The winner gets a plaque that they have to place in their living room for the next year. It's got a picture of a Naked Mole Rat on it!:ROFLMAO:

We could make it so that that has to be your avatar for a year. With it being based on net I could be regretting this suggestion in year.:ROFLMAO:

Salt Lick is very good BBQ, as mentioned before the original is better than the one in Round Rock. Also Franklins and Terry Blacks are both amazing as well. So many good choices to get some good Texas BBQ. (y)

This will be a must do when there!

I want to play so bad but can’t commit due to a undiagnosed medical condition I’m battling. Seeing a specialist next week to hopefully find out more.

I wanted to try Terry Blacks late last year when in ATX but the line was crazy long (which is a good sign). Franklins if your not in line early AM you probably aren't getting anything by lunchtime.

With as many guys as we have we might could call ahead of time and just make a big To-Go order. I think my buddy said you can do that at Franklins but have to call like a month ahead of time.

I did watch that movie. The scenery was really the start of the show...except for the hot tip to anchor putt.

My son and I played that course 3X - the movie enabled them to build a nice clubhouse. Course Conditions were Goat Raunchy. But it was during a drought and even the rivers and creeks were dry. No bueno. But Fredericksburg and Wine - Bueno.

You probably want to go a little farther north nearer Austin ...

Terry Blacks has also opened in Deep Ellum in Dallas if you don't want to go back all the way to Austin to get a good fix. (y)
