No Waffle Houses around so it IHOP for us.

That said, I frequent Denny's a lot more than IHOP. Denys has decent waffles, and pancake. No better/worse than IHOP.

Still, if I want waffles, there's a casino restaurant a couple of miles a way that gets most of our breakfast visits. $3.99 for two eggs, hash browns, bacon/sausage. and toast. You can can sub a waffle, or pancake tor the toast.

gonna go Waffle House here. That said I'd go to Cracker Barrel over either, and go to Denny's more than all 3, but that's because it's MUCH closer to the house.
 
Luckily this Battle Royale doesn't exist in NJ since we have diners

Went to IHOP a couple of times when we were over in San Fran. Loved it.
 
Neither are a favorite, but if pushed I would pick Waffle House. Generally just grab a breakfast sandwich out on the road though.

Next time we tee it up we are changing this.
 
Waffle House all the way. Food always comes out fresh off the griddle. You literally watch them make it. Pretty sure the only cooking equipment in an ihop is a microwave. Plus you never hear the national weather service give an “ihop” forecast in a major weather event but they do have a Waffle House forecast.

I mean nearly all of the votes for Ihop are from people that have never been to Waffle House.
That says everything.

Good point, I should have specified non-chain diners as we are the the diner capital of the US
 
Between these two my pick would be Waffle House, havent had either in years but Waffle House is by far superior to ihop.

Are either of these places still open 24 hours after the pandemic? I know a lot of NJ diners had to change their 24 hour policy due to staffing and revenue issues.

Been to both. I’d much rather go to Waffle House. Are there any Shoneys left anywhere.
 
I’d pick Waffle House if I was going to one or the other.
 
This is what he thinks of IHOP. Also, Tin Cup chose Waffle House. Nuff said.

If I'm forced to pick where I'd like to get diarrhea, I'd take waffle house over ihop every time.
