1 question.....why the drilling out of the hosel? A larger shaft diameter than standard?

That or they were roughing up the inside a bit for a better bond. Only two things I could come up with

Probably running a tap in there for final finish to make sure there are no impurities or burrs and making it a little rough for better bonding of the epoxy. (That would be my guess)

Just watched the video....WOW! That was awesome watching complete build cycle right up to labelling the box. Shafts, grips & heads just look sick. Very happy for the participants, got some greatness in their future.

Custom shafts and attention to detail on these builds. Can't get any better than that!

It's a good way to clean up the hosel for better epoxy bond.
