I chose the 58* Z grind because of this, which is plentiful unfortunately on my home course...

Granted, it's about 95 degrees today and every day this summer here in Tampa, but the sand is H A R D as hell. I'm not sure if you can tell from the photo, but I found it interesting - the divot closest to the ball is with the Z grind. The one furthest away is with a W. Both were actually pretty good shots, but the Z grind was just a little easier to get into this hard pan bunker. In person, you could see what I felt. That said, one could definitely use the W too. The grinds definitely make a difference, but the operator of the tool is most important.

First shot with the 60° Z led to a birdie putt. 60 yards to 6 feet, stopped right where it landed.

Hit an 80 yard shot with the 56° that also stopped a dime.

A sample size of only 2 shots but off to a good start.

What I'm hearing is 100% success rate. Use the statistics to your advantage!

Here's the most recent clean shot I have. Will grab another later today with a little more play on it.

Can those that received these wedges from THP each post an image of the face now that you have been using it for a bit?

@baylrballa
@Daluteh
@Mikey D
@Iceman!
@hadi05

I clean it religiously (after every shot). I can see that it is starting to patina, but not a lot yet. What I really like @JB is the muted toe pad and darker color of the grooves on the Chrome. Absolutely no glare from a standard chrome wedge! Well done Callaway!!!

So @JB... got any time in with the 60 bent to 62?!

Not as of yet. But coming up very soon. Sticking with PM Grind through the GOAT Cup and then will make the switch.

Since I have @Canadan team for the W on that one, why not make the switch now?! 🤣🤣.

I'm kind of interested in your feedback. I might have a spot open in the bag and could add a really high lofted wedge for no other reason than just because. Well I really like these wedges too! Best wedge I've ever hit.

I'm really interested in the 62* @JB because there are a few courses near me where a higher lofted wedge would be nice. I might not have to lay the 58* open, which would have its advantages since I'm not a skill player. These greens are very firm, have a downhill slope and are very fast.

Those were the same picture weren't they @baylrballa :LOL::LOL:

After playing today. I got my 58Z back after changing the grips to MCC+4 Align Midsize. That change made a huge difference. I have a lot more control over the clubhead.

@OldandStiff the patina is starting to show more now. Funny thing is, I can clean the rust off. Maybe that's why it looks different.

Before cleaning.

And by cleaning you know what I mean.

A few more photos as I add range work and another round to the 54* and 58*.

Going back out for a few more holes this evening. I'm only going to use the 58Z on all wedge shots today. It felt great earlier with the new grips!

One from the only bunker I was in today. If you've noticed a common theme of almost growling at the end of these shots that all basically end in tap ins, it's because with these wedges in my hand I feel like I can and am trying to hole out with them like.. a LOT. So I'm actually a little frustrated by some near misses when I know the the wedge and I did what we wanted to do. Silly, but confidence is extremely high with these.

And had a great day with them despite a couple tough stretches of play today.

6 inches from holing out from 90 yards on #1 approach, about a foot from it on # 2 from 80y. 5 feet left for birdie on #3 after a terrible short side that I nailed the landing on, etc, etc. etc. Up and down machines, stuck a couple more approaches.. they just don't quit. :love:

Only got to do 1 hole before the down pour. 75 yd to pin with the 58* Z. Ball went 10yd past hole and spun back to 4' for a birdie!

This image is zoomed in so you can see the ball.
