Yes it's funny looking and yes I think the alignment thing goes out the window as soon as you take the club back, but I reserve final judgement until I got one in my hands and tried it out for a few rounds.

Yes I could, but no I wouldn't. Just doesn't seem natural, plus I would constantly be messing with the alignment
I was struggling something awful with alignment for putting a few years back so I bought a really large Cure putter and added all of the weights to it. It would stand on it's own and could have easily been used to beat something to death. It didn't help much and took up one half of my golf bag haha
