This weekend numerous NFL teams that have already made the playoffs are playing their backups including my Browns. I'll watch the game but have little enthusiasm for it.
Anyone else feel the same?
How would you fix this?

Why risk injury for a meaningless game when the playoffs are already locked up?

Yup. This is it.

Tickets will still sell. People will still watch. Stars will be healthy for the playoffs.

This happened less when it was 6 playoff teams with 2 byes and a 16 game season

The Browns of all teams i get it. They've had so many injuries this year. Imagine playing your starters and Myles Garrett gets hurt? Or Joseph Flacco? They have a legit chance to make or even win the SB

The only thing that would change it is real things to play for....like a first round bye for example

Personally I look at it as a week to tune out and focus on other things.

It's a reward for playing well during the season. It sucks as a fan, but well deserved as a player.

I completely get why they do it, but it doesn't make for compelling viewing. It's almost as bad as watching preseason games.

And people will still wager on the outcome.

These games are less problem than the Bowl games where so many advised they were going Draft.
