Low score vs High score spread.

I shot a 69 which was actually a +6 diff, and i also shot back-to-back 85s (that was not a pleasant weekend)

28 stroke differential which for a 10 cap is pretty wide. I'll leave it at that.

Absolutely it is. It was one of those days where I couldn't keep a ball in play off the tee and could not chip for the life of me. I was hitting 5 off of the tee box multiple times. This particular course only has one OB area (parking lot) however on 14 of the holes there is areas that if missed it's essentially OB and a re-tee.

lowest - 78 , highest 92 - generally play in the 80-84 range.
My overall scoring tends to be consistent day to day. It is not unusual for me to start out at at 45 and come in at a 37.
Where I normally play has a tough first three holes and I am usually the first group out in the AM (6:12) so there is no warm up.
The 92 was on a course that I had never played and I actually hit the ball well but never in the correct place.

74 low to 88, average 81. Looking to get better next season.

Low - 86
High - 106

Same course, twenty days apart. Sometimes things just go haywire!

I am fairly consistent in my mediocrity. 73 and 85, a spread of only 12.

69 low, 83 high

2023

67 low
87 high

Low 83. High 92. Same course.

I'm a pretty consistent bogey golfer.

When I played 3-4 times per week I was 80 to 82 then I would have a 75 or 85 but no Big spreading...

91 this year is the low, and 105 was the high. And the 105 was on a 66.7 rated course. Yeesh.

So far this year it is 72 and 89

A solid start to the year:
Low 78
High 86

I am shocked that I have not posted something in the 90's during the winter.

I played 3 times, all at my home course, week before last. I shot 101, 91, 81 in a 4 day stretch. Played well over 1000 rounds since returning to golf in 2013 and that is the only 100+ score I've suffered. Crazy game.

72-85

And still got soft capped 🙄

So far in ‘24 it’s 96-79, index is currently 16.5, up from a low of 15.5.

For 2023:

88 Low
105 High

68- 103. Seriously. Both scores between 6200 and 6550 yards. Arthritic spine etc makes my swing vary greatly from round to round any more. Especially in early and late season. Getting old sucks, but I am not sitting on the couch no matter how bad a day I am having.

Last year was wild. I don’t play much anymore bc of my sons sports, wife’s work schedule, and now a newborn

Low - 69
High - 95

I played 8 rounds last year and never shots 80’s lol. One 69, 3 rounds 70’s, 4 in the 90’s. Consistency is long gone

Looking at a 90 and 99 so far.

New clubs, iffy back and a torn rotator cuff = rising HC. Damn it man!

So I’m a hack. The least talented golfer in my group that I regularly play with.
I’m currently a 10.7 handicap.
My lowest round of the year was a 75 and my highest round was a 105.
That’s a 30 stroke spread.
Some days it’s as though I cannot get anything to work.
What’s your high/low spread for the last year?
10.5 is not a hack in my book. A 10.5 is a pretty good golfer.

In the last 12 months my scoring spread has been between 78 to 105. With the majority of those scores between 86, and 92. These scores are actual without any hdcp applied.
