Thanks! This is my second year at my current school, and I have been teaching English at the high school level for a total of three years. Before that I taught at a university as part of my degree program. I was relieved to escape from academia! You're a teacher as well?

Yep. Science. My brush with greatness: I was LeBron's physics teacher at St. V-M (I teach at a different school now). Hope you enjoy teaching - I love it. Just remember; you're teaching kids, not English. If they end up liking the subject or at least learning to appreciate it more, that's gravy.
 
Thee might also be some teaching threads in the forum as well. I know we have a few. Jman is a (history?) teacher in OK. Can't think of whom else off the top of my head.
