Holy Crap look at that Target 1 score. +.8.
Our team just needs to play like these combines and we going to be money.
Time for some truth bombs:
I got through 2/3 of a combine on Thursday and received two phone calls. I didn't pick either of them up. Both times it made the app crash and or freeze on my phone. Thus not being able to actually complete a full combine. That is extraordinarily frustrating as a user. Especially when you are on the range with limited time and actually wanna get something completed.
secondly, the data in the one session I had vs the Trackman (right after) was impressive. It was also the only session Ive had, that had been that close to accurate. It's a bit finicky to get aligned perfectly behind you. I'll hit something straight and it will calculate the right carry but totally wrong direction in the flight path. Kinda strange.
for the $$$ I still think with more work on good days it's worth it if you're looking for carry data. I'm waning a bit on reliability of that data however unless it proves to be more reliable on capturing it.

On Friday, I did my Combine Challenge but with the sun directly facing my camera the Rapsodo was unable to get most of the shots. My second try later in the afternoon had some nice shots and the monitor recorded everything, but some glitch or freezing happened because the results were blank. So, I guess third time is the charm as they say.
I counted only 21 balls left in my bucket, so I probably looked foolish, but I walked out into the range where people were hitting to grab 6 more balls. It takes 24 to do the challenge and I wanted a couple in case the Rapsodo missed a couple shots. Thankfully it didn’t.
Results:
Target 1 was good as my nine iron is my full swing club for 122-128. A really good contact will go 135, but I generally am going to hit in the 120s.
Target 2 is a difficult one for me. I generally hit my 4hybrid between 170 - 180, so that naturally should be the perfect club for this distance. I know the Rapsodo isn’t perfect. But on my driver and longer clubs it was not giving me the best distance. I could see earlier while trying my other combines the monitor was short. So, I needed to club up. My problem is since being selected for the Grandaddy I didn’t want to purchase any additional clubs. So, the top of my bag is empty right now. I go driver to the 4 hybrid and have a huge gap in distance.
So, I used a three quarter driver swing. Hey, we said any club. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of hitting from a mat.
Results were GOOD.
Overall, I finished 6.2 strokes better than my handicap and leader in the clubhouse so far. Plenty of time to beat this score so I am definitely going out on Monday to get work in.

Well I got my first combine done today and it didn’t go well lol. I will be heading back out this aft to get another done. Not my best work at all Lol. Always good to learn from things like this! Back to work because someone just smoked a combine!
Overall this was a really really good score for me, driven by far by the 175 yd distance and then driver. Still a really poor score from 125 yd. I was honestly hitting every club well and am really excited about where my game is hopefully headed. As good as this score was, I do want to be transparent. This was not a fun time at the range. It missed a lot of drives and again had distance and dispersion that was clearly off on a few shots, and I had an app crash. It was frustrating. I'll share some more thoughts soon in the review thread on this. End of the day, pumped for how well I was striking the ball.

Let me start by saying, I’m sick but still went out and got this done. Oh and I’m so sorry for whoever picked me to win this ….. golf is hard.
I got two combines in over the weekend. This post covers the first. Score equated to a 6.3 Handicap. 1.6 OVER my 4.7 handicap.
The first was at a range with balls of mixed quantity. The conditions were windy, and the wind actually blew over my ipad and cracked the glass at the perimeter. Not over the screen, so it is still fully functional with no issues, but annoying.
Overall, I was a little off of my handicap. But there were some very weird results that contributed to that.
Wedges were so-so. Normally, 125 would be a full gap wedge for me, but with the range balls, and Rapsodo's algorithm, it ends up being a choked down gap wedge, which was tough for me to dial in.
175 is more comfortable for me, being a full swing 8 or 7 iron, depending on the balls. I went with a 7 iron for this try. And it wasn't great.
Driving was still in the plus handicap range, which is great. That one in the left tree, though, definitely didn't go left. That was a nice cut that would have ended near the target line. This is what Rapsodo captured. You can see the ball start to cut, but it determined the ball went left. That killed my average distance:

The second combine I got in at my club mostly with TaylorMade range balls. Pretty good quality, but definitely not premium offerings.
This combine was frustrating to say the least. The app froze multiple times, the Rapsodo didn't pick up on multiple shots, and there were a number of very funky results that killed my score. My score equated to a 7.5 handicap, 2.8 OVER my 4.7 handicap.
Target 1 killed my score, thanks to a very funky shot. I'll post the video at the end. You can't see it in the screen shot, but there was one shot that was 85 yards and something like 175 feet to the left. Leaving a proximity of 227 feet. Which definitely wasn't accurate.

Driver also was affected by 1 outlier shot, which was just a terrible drive, and one drive where the unit picked up a duck hook, but it was a lower fade. Still in the plus range, but hard to overcome that short target score.

So finally got a combine finished yesterday. The very first one I did was 77.6 overall score. Science then, due to a variety of issues, just haven’t been able to get a complete combine done. Yesterday I got 2 done. Below is the best one.
Not bad but even this one had 2 or 3 misreads that what was displayed didn't match what the ball actually did.

Man, I want to know how it calculates the scores, especially for driving. You had a longer average distance, but that one way in left field makes the lateral dispersion huge. That must come into play with the driving score.
I was only able to get one shot at the combine and it did not go well. I am going through some swing changes at the moment and I kind of knew a poor performance was possible. I scored a 14.8 which is a 1 over my current handicap but honestly it felt worse and I was a little surprised that it was this close.
The 125 yard target I had high hopes for but just had some trouble making good contact.
175 as you can see was a battle. I put together some really ugly swings and just did not feel comfortable. There were a couple that felt really good and had some great trajectory. Oddly enough I felt like there was some hope in a couple of these swings.
Then comes the driver. The score kind of surprised me. I felt awful every single swing and pulled almost all of them. I just could not make solid contact to save my life.
