Scotty Cameron putters

I appreciate it. The number of mallet covers available seems to very limited compared to the blade covers. I'm probably going to try and find a large matador grip as well.
Specially the regular "mallets", they really don't pump out the quantities like blades.

Well golfsmith doesn't have squat to save them. So I had it cutoff and put the flatso1.0 put on. I wanted to try the 2.0 but they didn't have one

That stinks, usually with SS or any non-rubber grip you need air to remove it safely FYI. I bought a little compressor for this reason, makes swapping those types of grips a snap.

I've been looking for this for a long, long time. Finally found one.

Got my first Scotty!! I definitely need to change the grip but otherwise I'm pretty happy. Still hard pondering a Notchback as well.

I'm a big fan of Newport 2 shape!

Love the Newport 2 shape myself. So much so, that I also just received that same putter. Need to either extend it to 35", or send it in to the Custom Shop for extra color, and an extension.

Nice, brother! Hurry up and get that big boy matador grip on there!

As far me, I picked up 25g weights and a removal tool from customshopputters on eBay. Looking forward to the rolling the X5R with a little more head weight.

Already on the hunt for one of those grips!

I'm so torn. I want to add weight to the head but I don't want to ruin the stock offering of the 2016 Newport. Should I do it?

Just get a heavier set of weights and a tool. Swap them out and see if it works. If not, throw the stock weights back in there; no harm, no foul!

Just picked a matador grip for mine. Got it from AliExpress though, so it's bound to be fake LOL.

I'm glad you're not ditching it just yet :D

I'll wait and see how the new weights work out. If it doesn't work out though, I'm pretty confident I'll easily get my money back.

I rolled the new Newport quite well today. I find the main area where it shines compared to both my Lajosi and my Odyssey V-Line is with longer putts. I seem to have a much easier time lagging long or downhill putts to the hole with a proper pace.
The Plumbers Neck is a big difference for me as I've used flow neck or double-bend exclusively my entire golfing life, but I'm really growing accustomed to it and starting to feel comfortable standing over those 5 footers and lining them up.

Changed the weights in my squareback, tried the 35g weights and liked it when the greens were rolling slow but now that the greens are quicker I lost distance control with such a heavy head. I went back to the 15g weights and am much happier with how Im rolling it.

Good thing you had extras :)

That's interesting and I'm wondering how much of a change going from 15s to 25s in my X5R will be.

Yeah the guy I bought it from threw in the extra weights for me, he's a pretty generous guy

I'm bored, Buy another one already.

Hahaha! This one does put a nice roll on the ball. Weighting will feel better after it's extended. As usual, I love the deep milling.

I've heard if you buy more of them, the roll gets even better.

Agreed. I also find a heavier head makes distance control tough on quick greens. Just gotta find that sweet spot for you.

If that were the case, I'd already be one helluva good putter.

My 25g weights arrived today and I installed them. I dig the contrast!
