We just had to put our 17 year old kitty down.

Today ******* sucks.
Oh so sorry to hear about this. Doesn’t matter how old or young they are, always seems to hurt the same. Just try to focus on the good times. All the best to you and family.

She was a great kitty. Tough day in the blu house.

We got a new puppy from the local shelter on Saturday. Meet our new little guy Bogey. The other two are B names, I said we would have two dogs but he makes 3 so he’s one over par.

I’m training him to be my new Cartner.

All Gracie the Cane Corso wants to do is play. But. The cat, often, can't be bothered.

But they do play together very well. The only (very few) issues of aggression have all been by the cat. Go figure, right?

It's funny, being that feline cues are different, that they both miss each others messages. When a cat is happy, they'll raise their tail and wag it from side to side. A quivering raised tail means that it's very happy/excited. Of course, to canines, a raised tail can be a sign of dominance.

In this video, you'll see that Hollybelle, the cat, will attempt to head bump Gracie a couple of times. A head bump is a high form of affection from a cat. But Gracie will view it as if a sneak attack. And when Gracie becomes defensive, Hollybelle will then swat at her with her paw.

It makes me laugh because both will very often show each other their version of clear affection. But, 99% of the time, one or both will misread it. It's pretty comical on a daily basis because it's like Groundhog Day.
