First question: The shoulder held up ok??
Second question: Should you admit to it on an open forum that your DR. might see???

Either way, glad to hear that you were able to get out and swing the clubs.

Yes, the shoulder held up OK..

My surgeon actually said that I could swing a club at the begining of this week, I just didn't have the time to do it..

Playing in a competition on Saturday :D
 
Called in on Saturday to see if my new clubs were ready to pick up but the assistant pro couldn't find any notification of them so I will be giving the pro a ring sometime this week. The assistant pro did say he was waiting for his clubs to be delivered as well (except he is waiting for a set of Z945's) so hoping they won't be long as he has seen a notification to say they have been shipped

Not too bat all things considering!

The new driver was a machine, consistently 30-50 past everyong in my group. Putting and chipping was ok but my iron play was.. errr.. hmm.. shocking!! It took me 12 holes to remember how to swing a iron! Highest score I've had in 3 years..

But the shoulder was fine. I think I was protecting my shoulder with my irons and only started to swing them free once I realised that the shoulder was ok..

Not playing for another 2 weeks due to a house move so more time to get stronger :D
 
Update - the clubs have been delivered, just need to get over there to pick them up

Will probably be Saturday before I can get there and they might be thrown straight into the deep end with a round on Sunday if I have the time. It all depends on how my house sale is going
 
I'm moving house on Friday too so you will have to pick them up yourself - lol
 
Got out on the course again tonight. I fell like I'm getting stroger and stronger every week now :D

My bro inlaw is our club captain this year so I get to play with the team guys when they practice on tuesday nights. Surely that can only help me!!

Started double, double, bogey, then only dropped one more shot (3 stab) in the next 7 holes. I only played 10 as I had to do more packing for our house move, really wanted to finish the18....
 
I sense another change in the favourite for the event.....lol
 
Just wait till you get out on course with your new sticks and extra distance!!
 
Well I had a blonde moment and put a saw through my thumb!

After going straight into theatre the same day for an operation as I cut through my tendons, I've now got a steel splint on.

Its a bit cumbersome but not painful.

My first target date is 28thApril for the splint off and external stitches out, see what the hand specialist says then to test feeling and movement in my thumb and then the road to recovery. Had to cancel loads of Opens, Comps and general meets that I was all booked up in, lost loads of money including hotels booked, thankfully Close House is far enough away to still be OK and I should be swinging a club by them, hopefully.
 
Damo, that extra distance is going to totally mess with my head for a while until I can get used to it....

Mizuno, ouch that doesn't look like it was a good idea.....hope it heals well for you and doesn't give you too much trouble
 
Damn Mizuno, you dont want to do somethink like that at the begining of the season!!

I thought I sensed a disturbance in the Force. Looking forward to hearing how you like them in the appropriate thread.

In here of course, they're absolute rubbish...that or you'll find yourself as the new favorite.

In the interests of some gamesmanship my handicap is now the lowest its ever been, it's going to get lower and I was 2in from a hole in one yesterday. See below,
