l,d be happy with that application , however if we were all playing a competition together , then l would be irate, that some would be less adhered to the rules and norms of golf than others , and potentially win something ?

Conversely , if they were playing for fun and independently of me and my group for example and their play did not influence my group or me ,,or affect the course or others . Then l think my issue is not so great.

l get we all evaluate things etc differently depending on viewpoint , but that why we have rules etc to ensure in some manner we behave equally and respectfully , and by extension a lot of life is similar to golf ..... if you consider it .

This isn’t about playing by the rules in competition. It’s something far from it so far as I can tell.
