I think this is a cool innovation and certainly demonstrates what technology can accomplish. Not sure given it’s cost though if it will ever become commercially viable but it appears they achieved what they set out to accomplish.

Sure that sounds like a lot but you need to factor in all the money you'll save on air and bicycle pumps.
Not to mention those damn needles that you can never find when you need one.

assuming they got the weight, feel, and air resistance right then this would be very cool.
every time we wheel out the basketball bin before practice half of the balls are flat.
that price, though. no chance of buying 10 of them to fix the school ball supply issue.

I saw this thread a few weeks ago. Had a thought then but didn't say it. Saw the thread this morning and had the same thought.:

I'm assuming, much like so many other things in the world these days....this has very little to do with basketball and more engineering accomplishments.
