Would you rather....

It's taken awhile, but I'm getting more and more OK with the idea of playing poorly and still being a good teammate on a winning or successful squad...and there might be more to success than winning.

Regardless of how my team does collectively, when I play well I'm inspired to play better, and when I play poorly I'm motivated to play better. I know enough to know that there's contributions a teammate makes to the team's success that goes beyond what happens inside the ropes. Anytime you're on a team, the final event, the one that matters, is just a notable waypoint on a longer journey.
