I will be down the end of march, first week of April.
I would like to find some reasonable priced courses.
Yeah, looking for decent but inexpensive.

Anyone out there have any recommendations?

Thanks!

You definitely asked about an area with a great amount of expertise on this site. A couple personal favorites of mine are Sarasota National in Venice, University Park in sarasota, and Waterlefe in Bradenton

Would like to shoot 2 rounds while I am down there.
Probably after 3:00 to get the better rates.
Strongly considering waterlefe, and Sarasota national.

As I will be golfing alone. Anyone want to meet up for a round possibly?
Would be cool meeting one or a few of you.

I'm 39 ( or will be). And my mid summer rounds I usually shoot around 105.
But I've been watching youtube, and reading golf digest ( I'm a subscriber) so I got it all figured out.

Hey buddy, quite a few of us in the area, and always up for a round.

Sarasota National down in the Venice area is an incredible course. Waterlefe and University, like Wake mentioned are also tops in the area.

Legacy and Riverstrand round out my Top 5 for the best courses around.

This is great info and dead right.

Me and the wife just decided to come down a couple days ago. So saving for a weeks vacation was not originally in the budget.

Central Michigan is not conducive to golf at this time.

We will be staying in Nokomis, so Venice is right there.
I imagine waterlefe is only about 25 minutes up Tamiami trail give or take?

What kind of green fees would I be looking at for sarasota national, and waterlefe for afternoons?

I see online after 3:00 looks like around 40.
But I never made online tee times before.

I am getting more and more exited about my upcoming week in paradise.

Prices uaually drop at the end of March. You can probably play each of those courses in April for less than $60, maybe less, depends on when rates drop down.

Shoot me and PM when it gets closer, I am sure we could get a foursome together, maybe more.

Will do!

Would golf after 3:00 be unbearable that time of year (last week of March- first wk of April)?
I couldn't imagine so.

I absolutely can't wait!

Waterlefe may scare me, although it looks amazing.
Not counting it out.
I am hoping to meet a few of the great people on here when I visit.
Afternoons work well for me, but am flexible.

Man, I can't wait!

Hopefully JB will be around.
