The Haney Project Rush Limbaugh [Spoilers]

Not a fan of rush at all. The group or the talk show host. Didn't he get caught coming back from the Philippines with a bunch of Viagra and kiddie porn?

I never heard that.... Previous post about liking him withdrawn.

NO

So Rush made the trip to the Haney Ranch on last night's show, and again Rush refuses to exercise or practice. And again Haney has laid out his lines of golf balls and made Rush hit them all. "Miss the board, hit the tee." I don't know how many times Haney said that, but it was a lot. Haney wife had her token appearance, and she did a photo shoot for a magazine. And at the end of the day, Rush is no further ahead. I would like to see some actually instruction out of this show. Haney is one of the top rated teachers/coaches in America. Why isn't he teaching??

I wish he'd practice so we could see how much improvement Hank could make in someone in just these few lessons. Barkley was hopeless, Ray couldn't get out of his own head long enough to be helped and now Rush won't practice. Ugh!

That said this "miss the board, hit the ball" thing really had me intrigued. The board was two inches behind the ball and should have been incredibly easy to miss and yet Rush couldn't do it - not once! I'm wondering how many of us hit that far behind the ball all the time and don't even know it??? Can't wait for all this snow to melt so I can try this one on the range.

As for those who say they don't have time, get a DVR for Lord's sake... It takes me exactly 21 minutes to watch an episode. Who doesn't have 21 minutes to get a good golf tip? I got two last night!

As far as I know, only the Viagra is true. Went through customs with a prescription not in his name

Tapatalk- for when work is not enough...

Ummm, NO he didn't. He's had a couple drug issues, Oxy for sure and perhaps Viagra was the other one, but no on the kiddie porn. As much as the media hates this man if he'd been caught with kiddie porn there would never have been an end to that story and there's no such story anywhere on google.

It was the Dominican Republic not the Philippines and there was no kiddie porn involved. The jokes he make about getting them from the Clinton library and the Bob Dole reference were hilarious...

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., June 27, 2006
CBS/AP) Rush Limbaugh could see a deal with prosecutors in a long-running prescription fraud case collapse after authorities found a bottle of Viagra in his bag at Palm Beach International Airport. The prescription was not in his name.

Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at the airport after returning from a vacation in the Dominican Republic. Customs officials found the Viagra in his luggage but his name was not on the prescription, said Paul Miller, a spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Miller said the alleged violation could be a second-degree misdemeanor. The sheriff's office was investigating and will soon turn the case over to the state attorney's office, which had no immediate comment Tuesday.

Under the deal reached last month with prosecutors, Limbaugh was not to be arrested for any infraction for 18 months in exchange for authorities deferring a charge of "doctor shopping." Prosecutors had alleged the conservative talk-show host illegally deceived multiple physicians to receive overlapping painkiller prescriptions.
Limbaugh Jokes 'How Did I Get Bob Dole's Luggage?'
Limbaugh also must submit to random drug tests and continue treatment for his admitted addiction to painkillers.

Limbaugh's doctor had prescribed the Viagra, but it was "labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes," Roy Black, Limbaugh's attorney, said in a statement.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection examined the 55-year-old radio commentator's luggage after his private plane landed at the airport, Miller said.

Investigators confiscated the drugs, which treat erectile dysfunction. Limbaugh was released without being charged.

For now, Limbaugh is joking about his brush with the law. He joked about the search on his radio show Tuesday, saying Customs officials didn't believe him when he said he got the pills at the Clinton Library and he was told they were blue M&Ms. He later added, chuckling: "I had a great time in the Dominican Republic. Wish I could tell you about it."

He also said today he's "trying to figure out how Bob Dole's luggage got on'' his plane. Former Senator Dole was a pitchman for the erectile dysfunction drug after losing a presidential bid. And Limbaugh says he's worried about "the next election" -- and not what Viagra might bring.

Before his own problems became public, Limbaugh had decried drug use and abuse and mocked President Clinton for saying he had not inhaled when he tried marijuana. He often made the case that drug crimes deserve punishment.

"Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. ... And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up," Limbaugh said on his short-lived television show on Oct. 5, 1995.

Rush actually predicted on the first show that this would be a big hit because people would want him to fail and make a fool of himself. Looks like he was right once again. I thought he did a great job of listening, heck he really seemed like he wants the help.

Thanks Rush! He refuses to exercise or practice which makes my earlier prediction that he would not listen to what Hank wants him to do even stronger. That huge ego just will not allow him to be taught. He will not improve from this show. Turn out the lights!

Seems like you just want him to fail.

I caught a glimpse of the next episode and hank was very happy with him and his progress he was seeing, so seems your a little wrong in making the statement "He will not improve on this show"

I have enjoyed the show and look forward to next weeks episode. It looks like things will start to click.

We better wait and see the show through. I just don't see him putting in the work to improve to the point Hank is hoping for. The jury is still out.

But any work he puts in at all is an improvement right? I mean he didnt practice at all before and now he is. He puts A LOT of hours into his job (from what I have seen/heard) so if your expecting him to practice 3-5 hours a day well then ya, he wont be able to do that. I dont know the guy, dont listen to his radio or any of that stuff, but this isnt a bad show. He actually seems like he really wants to know what to do, to get better.

just watched last night episode, the hotel didn't have the golf channel last night. I think Rush will succeed. I have liked this season so far, I think it's clearly better than the one with Romano.

I guess if he is doing NO work now but starts doing some because of Hank, one could look at that as improvement. He just comes off to me as a guy, that even though he is asking for help, he just can't get past himself, thinking he knows better than Hank.

Poor hank. Rush apparently is a pain to teach.

I am not a fan of this one. Except for the fact that we see a lot more of Mrs. Haney. She is not ugly.

I'm a fan of eye candy but that's the reason I'm not watching. I wanna see golf and maybe learn something not watch hanks wife hit balls.

It's seems as though the celebrities are getting nothings out of this. They should hold contests and let the public take advantage of these opportunities if they won't.

See, now that would be something interesting to watch. And have it full of golf tips and actual lessons.

I've always felt the same way but many will argue that viewers won't watch b/c it takes some one in entertainment to pull ratings, yet the golf channel is doing that other show, Pipe Dreams, and that dude isn't a celebrity. Personally, I hate both shows, especially the Haney Project. I won't get into it though.

Don't hide your brutal honesty bro. Maybe next time you lay the smack down on P4B you can use your 19th hole time to expound this. I kid of course...perhaps

I gave up on Haney half way through the Romano show. Not worth my time.

I hadn't watched any of this season. But I did watch last week because George Brett was on it. Still thought the show sucked. I deleted it from the DVR at the 20 minute mark.

I do like to listen to Rush's radio show though. But this show sucks.

Yeah, I get upset too when one of the world''s top instructors only gives me TWO free tips in 20 minutes. What a cheepskate he is!

I watched this week and this week only just to reinforce to myself how totally useless and worse from a TV entertainment perspective, borrrrring this show happens to be.

Since the star for our purposes is the coach, I actually think taking an "everyman" and seeing what you could accomplish with him makes a good deal of sense and is something I have mentioned here in the past. At least the coach would have someone actually interested in improving his game as opposed to someone interested in improving on his terms (when I have the time...Rush, while I resolve my personal demons, Romano). The whole thing is just bull**** and makes me question the golf channel's programing prowess. If the golf channel actually produces that show as well I am really worried.

Sad when someone as hooked on golf as I am finds Mrs Haney the only piece in the show worth having tuned in for.
