Back in the 80s the RS shoes from PUMA were extremely popular and they had a rebirth of sorts with multiple drops over the last 2 years. Today, the first RS for golf is being launched and it is unique.
RS-G (Running System-Golf) is unconventional in looks at first glance, but the lifestyle inspired footwear is packed with the performance tech you want to play 18 holes.
Bold and a bit chunky, the RS-G has been reengineered to deliver completely waterproof action through a seam-sealed upper. Microfiber leather and TPU skin will keep your feet dry all day regardless of elements. Instead of just throwing bumps on the sole, PUMA used Carbon Rubber lugs and they are strategically placed in different zones throughout the shoe to provide traction.
Comfort continues from a Fusion Foam midsole that has ample amounts of cushioning, providing an almost springlike effect from impact. RS-G combines that with a Softfoam sockliner and when you are wearing them, you would never realize that you are wearing golf shoes that would offer support and stability as well as protect from elements.
“The RS-G shoes are the perfect combination of street and sports style combined with modern technologies and updates that make them relevant to today’s golfer,” said Andrew Lawson, PLM Footwear, PUMA Golf. “Once you put these shoes on, you’re not going to want to golf in anything else.”

Definitely not my cup of tea, and a style I never thought we would see return to be honest. This one is definitely unexpected imo.
Are the carbon lugs going to provide a little more durability?
The more I see them, the more I feel this way. I get accused here of some of my golf shoes looking like Dad shoes, but these really look like Dad shoes to me. I have no doubt they’ll be comfy, but I’m wondering if there will be a RF inspired fanny pack to accompany them
Yup. They remind me of a shoe that should have stayed in the past. 1 out of 10 – not for me.
Dad shoes haha, yes I agree but I’m not even sure my dad would wear them I’m sure they are comfy but when we have as many choices as there out there are these will be at the very bottom of the list.
You could pull these off though Joe, and no one will talk smack to your muscles!
The midsection screams dad bod, lol.
Haha! Miss you Joe!
Man, I’m a pretty hard/aggressive/lunatic golf club swinger and I’ve to this day never had slippage issues with Modern spikeless. I think it’s just a mental hurdle many have to take a leap of faith on.
You too brother.

Being real. These look like nurses shoes. I’m sorry, but they do.
naw man. Don’t see it. Lol. But you do have a Doc around, so you would know better than me. But these don’t scream “dad-bod” or “nurse”. Having the non golf version they are pretty “trendy” for me . I dig them. If I can rock high crown visors…I’ll rock these!! 80’s in full effect!
I’m with you, not for everyone, but not nurse shoes at all.
I want my golf shoes to be designed to support my swing and game, not specifically to help me run to my next shot.
I sure do see it. But personal preference is cool.
And I’ll let you ask the M.D. if she wears nurses shoes and see if you come back alive.
Haha. the doc would kill Me if she thought that i insinuated she wore “nurse” shoes!!
but I will definitely be trying these on when they are in stores and pretty certain I’ll grab a pair!
Got something against camo?
Just not a fan of it and, thus, won’t wear it. Have no issues with others liking and wearing it but just not for me.
x2 here…when I saw the thread title, I was intrigued…then the pics came…and I am ambivalent.
This is not one of those times.
That was a bit tongue in cheek. I spent 20 year in camo of some sort. Some things are meant to be camo. Shoes are not one of those things.
