Tale of 2 nines, 40 on the front, forgot how to golf on the back for 48, 88 total. :banghead:

Got out for some very rare golf in February in SD yesterday. Shot 77 in some rather iffy course conditions, but it's what you can expect when the course has been covered in snow since mid November!

2nd time out this year, shot a 90 on a course I'd not played before. Developed a nasty slice on the back 9 that hurt me on a couple occasions.

35/41 76.
Hit the ball well today and when the wind picked up big-time on the back side I kept it together alright.

A 92. And not too bad for my first real golf course of the new year. And I did it without my Driver in the bag and with my backup putter. My Driver is in the shop getting a new Tour AD DJ-6 put in and my Scotty is getting a Super Stroke grip being put on. So the longest club in my bag was a 3 wood and I was playing with my old Taylormade Ghost Spider S that I haven't gamed in over a year. And it was a 6600 yard course. So I was pretty stoked. I also slipped an Tour Edge Exotics XCG7 Beta 3 hybrid in the bag. Actually used it 5 or 6 times from the tee. Ended up being a great move. My hybrids got a lot of work today because of the longer approach shots. So I feel like today helped me jumpstart my game. So I'm stoked to see what happens Friday when I play with my new Driver shaft and put Scotty back in play. Woot!

I have an apt with my back doc in mid March (her first opening) I had my last epidural 5 yrs ago. My back has been very manageable (not an excuse for poor golf) since then. The last two weeks have been bad. She unfortunately can't get me in until I return from Az. It's amazing what that injection will do!

43-40, 1st round out with the Epic. Not the driver today it was on. Only one bad swing with it. Just off with the irons no doubles just pars and to many bogies and no birdie puts made 0-5

I got three over about a 2 year period. She (my specialist) said if it gave me any more trouble she would want to do a fusion surgery. I only deal with severe pain once a year or so, I really am not keen on surgery. I am hoping she does another round of injections. I have a fractured vertebrae and herniated disk. It honestly almost never hurts to swing a golf club. Driving a car over 15 miles is hell! Ha

93 at Ottawa park in Ohio. Beautiful out today. First time swinging since october. Felt great to hit. Had 3 triples on the back lol

Shot a pretty ****** 95 (49/46).

Tee-game was horrible. Hit 4 fairways, and incurred 5 penalties with the driver. I guess my honeymoon period with my Vapor Pro Combos is over as well, was pulling my short irons for some reason, even though my stock miss is a push. Greens were in a terrible shape; this was the first day of play after being covered in snow for a week, so they were aerated, and terribly slow because I don't think there mowed them (I reckon about 3-4), so putting wasn't brilliant either.

I played yesterday morning at San Juan Hills. I didn't have my best stuff for sure, but I still managed to shoot a +8 79 (40/39.) I wasn't striking my irons like I have been lately. I just didn't make any big numbers. Front 9 was 6 pars, 2 bogies and a double. Back 9 was 5 pars and 4 bogies. I did have 4 sand saves... including one on the 5th hole where I was fried egg in the greenside bunker and hit it to 1'.

Yesterday my game was pretty much on point....except for short pitches and chips.
35/39, missed 1 fairway by about 3 feet, 11 greens, 28 putts.

Bogey on front resulted from terrible pitch from about 20 yards. Double on the back related to two fat chips from about 30 feet and a bogey when I left a chip about 20 feet short of the hole. On the other holes that I missed the greens I was close enough to use the putter.

I really need to figure out how to chip during a round. I do okay when practicing; just can't take it to the course

Got 45 holes in yesterday...36 holes on my own starting at 8am....52-45-42-41....and played final 9 best ball with my brother and dad...we shot 2 under.

Great stress relief with the family

41-37 figured something out on back nine. SZ is legit

Played The Frog from the gold tees this morning. 46/47 for 93. Will ESC to 91.

Did manage 1 birdie. First round with a new driver and I was a bit erratic with it compared to the XR I've been playing. Had a lot of heel hits that were heading right on me. Did manage a couple of nice ones. A few more rounds and I'll be more comfortable with it.

Putting was a struggle. Made 2 decent putts all day. Think I had four 3-putts. Got to get this fixed.

Played my first round of the year! Played Juniper Golf Course in Redmond, OR, it's about 15-20 minutes north of Bend. They open 9 on Friday and then 18 for Saturday and Sunday. I was one of the nicest days we have had in sometime and I was able to get in a couple of hours at the range, chipping green, and putting green Saturday. Sunday had about a 2 1/2 to 3 club wind, but I was happy to out playing. We have had record setting snow and cold this winter. I shot 81 (39/42). i'm hoping that the weather will hold and I can get in another round this coming weekend.
