All right, here we go. Finally home and ready to process this, man i need a drink. I just want to say thanks again, and how exited and appreciative I am. Since it was quite the long day of waiting, and I am terrible at video, I thought I'd give a full recap in the same fun tone as many of the responses I got throughout the day. Buckle up.
It started out in as a normal day, had to drive into the office for all day meetings.
Like most mornings that I go in, I hit traffic on the way to work.
Got to work settle in and had my first cup of coffee.
I had a full day of meetings so I didn't really have a chance to check my phone or anything.
Finally got a break and took a walk to get a sandwich.
I had to cut things short and run back for more meetings.
So I hopped into the elevator back up the office
On the way I checked my phone and email and saw I had several THP PMs. I didn't put 2 and 2 together thought maybe I won one of the side contests like pick the winner or something.
Then it happend
I won
Stepped out of the elevator and it really started to kick in.
My initial reaction.

Final Reaction
Well was I surprised?
I had only a minute before another meeting and grabbed a quick drink to try and compose myself.
How on earth was I gonna get through the day waiting for quitting time?
The next two hours were a blur, checking my messages over and over making sure it's real. Quietly peeking in on the Thread from the morning, seeing the congrats roll in and comedy of some of the comments but unable to respond.
Finally, another quick break and managed to type up a quick response and thank you into the thread.
Also quickly texted family and friends about the news.
"Hey Guess what"
Back into more meetings. Watching the clock tick by.
The end of the day hit and I ran out to the car as fast as I could.
Back into the afternoon rush hour for the next 1.5 hrs trying to get home as fast as possible
Finally made it home to explain the events of the day over dinner.
Get the kid to sleep and begin to process this all.
Wow. What a day. Time to do some more research and dreaming, and catch up on some messages.
