EXPERIENCE The 2022 Goat Cup with Callaway Golf

Looking that this one, and I'm going to be super conflicted when it's time to post an number.
You have JB and Finley on the same team and I'm a big fan of both in these type of spots, but I know what Dan is capable of and Buck Nasty's record speaks for itself.

This one will be tough, but I will do my best.

I think I was an odds underdog in both of my first two experiences, let's make it 3 for 3.

That is before you went undefeated in THP competition play.

One of the threads that exploded and I fell behind on... Love some Dormie Courses - so this is legit and love the sound of whats coming together for the Goat Cup!

Shamble / ALT and finishing with singles!?

Night putting and more to come! Wish I were there, but count on me following.

Think with me rolling in with a 25-28hc I make us the underdogs. Adding in my round at Palisades might put me near a 30 🤬(n)

pops are never a bad thing haha

I’m so late to the party here, but Team Tudor may as well be called Team Pork Roll cuz @BuckNasty and I are bringing the Jersey flavor to the South (is Virginia technically considered the south?)

And I’m strangely excited to see these goats. Just hoping I keep my ball away from them…

I cannot wait for this one.

A brand new THP Experience is upon us and this is called the Goat Cup with Callaway Golf. The naming is twofold, first being that the location features goats on the premises and the other being that Jason Finley from Callaway Golf is considered by many on the THP Forum, the GOAT of trash talk to THPers.

So… how do we feel about guys in their early 40s rocking floral attire at private golf courses? “Asking for a friend…”

awesome job by the guys filling in dealing with changes and ultimately getting their game ready!

Since I’ve yet to do that: about 2.5 months ago, mid-round, my game completely fell apart and I developed and epic case of “the shanks.” Inexplicable. It carried over for a few rounds before I finally decided to stop playing and trying to fix it on the range.

Then I won entry into the GOAT Cup, which obviously made me ecstatic but also nervous as hell because I LITERALLY COULDNT HIT THE BALL. I took a few lessons, kept hitting balls…

just last week I finally made a turn in the right direction. Do I still shank the ball? Yep, and more than a few times per round — but it’s not EVERY shot like it had been. Instead, now I’ve been sapped of my distance — about 20 yards less on every club — and have developed a wicked slice. But that’s one I’ll try to fix after GOAT Cup…

My final tuneup for the competition (I prefer to say “excursion”): played in a scramble yesterday, playing a round of golf Monday, and either one last round or a range session next Friday. And then it’s go time!

Barely over a week away. Itinerary will come from GG later this week as she is knee deep in fantasy football stuff

I have a lesson today. We will see if he can help get my slice under control.

Lesson today and then another on Thursday. Since I’ll only have 3 weeks of lessons before the GOAT my focus will be on core fundamentals/ball striking/keeping ball in front of me down at Ballyhack, then in the last few months of this season I’ll focus on getting speed and distance back into the equation.

So close, but yet so far for the participants desire to get there. Looking forward to it!
