Review Rapsodo MLM Thread

Let's open it up further....

again.....well designed. When you put the case in your hands it does t feel cheap.I love the double zippers. It's a sturdy utility hook, although there's zero chance I hang this thing from the side of my bag so in reality im not sure the hook is actually needed. It feels like a sturdy case. Like, if I dropped it, it would be protected. At the same time, it's not bulky. By comparison, it's smaller than my PrecisionPro laser case and it's thinner.

What's in the case?

While there isn't a lot of fluff, it's well thought out....again. The instructions aren't cheap paper, seem to be laminated almost and could probably withstand some elements if need be. It's more of a small booklet than some throw away thin piece of paper. I might actually read it. Lol

I agree with you on the packaging and details. Feels premium.
I like the little net inside the case for the cable. And speaking of the cable, its actually kind of a nice cable. Good stuff so far!

The goods.....

From the jump, this unit is compact. Wayyy more compact than I thought it might be. Quite frankly, if you didn't know what it was, you might think it's some sort of power bank. Kind of inconspicuous. It's not heavy but still feels well made. When it comes to packaging I notice things.....See the little caps on the charging cord ends? I like that. It screams, we like this product and you should protect it. Just a little tidbit that means nothing but is actually kind of thoughtful.

I went ahead and plugged it in. There's a LED light that lights up as you can tell. Yellow is charging. The cord is plenty long. Although I do have to wonder with the charging port on the SIDE of the unit, when you set it on the ground and there's dew or moisture or any kind of precipitation at all, how well it will last and what happens if indeed it does get wet inside. It doesn't seem to be well protected and would much rather see some sort of rubber plug to fill that charging hole void when there isn't a cord in there. Just an initial thought.

other than that, I hope to get this puppy out tomorrow morning. Ironically it will be a little moist. So, we will see.

admittedly, I was a bit confused when I typed in "Rapsodo." The app came up but as you can see, so did Rapsodo Diamond? I knew that wasnt the right one as it's for baseball apparently. But some sort of differentiation logo & in the store would be a bit more helpful.

I went ahead and posted some screenshots of their App Store. Keep in mind, the rating is not my review nor my opinion. Just what the app says.

from here....it's all on performance and I can't wait to dive in and see what it spits out. Lol

let's have some fun!

hugggggge thanks to Rapsodo and Callaway Golf!! Hope we knock your socks off @JasonFinleyCG

So is it 6' or 8' for placement behind the shot? The user manual I downloaded from the site says 8' and the setup guide you show says 6'. Maybe the download from the site is is older - or newer? Not sure if 2' will make a difference. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I am almost positive itโ€™s 6โ€™. I remember him saying we needed to be 8โ€™ from a net if youโ€™re using one and 6โ€™ for the device behind us.

I just swiped through the instructions in the app and it calls for 8 feet.

Really interesting to see what kind of results you get and what competitions you come up with. I was looking hard at the Rapsodo, but chose the Garmin R10, because I belong in the PC/Android master-race and have zero iOS devices.

But definitely keeping my eye on the thread. And what a fantastic extra for those of you lucky enought to participate in the experience!

These guys & gal are crushing it right out of the gate. Can wait for some thoughts after they hit the range.

I was watching some video and @Saywhat4412 is correct 6 feet behind you for the unit and you need to be 8 feet back from a net. That video was using the unit inside though maybe that changes for outside use?

Thatโ€™s good but thatโ€™s not how it reads on the manual vs setup guide. Probably not a big deal but it says different things. Look at the manual clip I posted and then look at the setup guide. Different.

I had a Rapsodo MLM before my trip to the 2021 Grandaddy, but I never could find the right set up to get it to give me consistent information. Most of it is that I had to use a buddies garage and hitting bay and his lighting wasn't the best.

I'll be super interested to see what you guys think, because I think with the right set up these could really help the fitters dial you guys in at ECPC.

When I had mine I started at 8' behind and didn't get as consistent numbers as I did from 6' - but I definitely questioned this as well.

So you were 6' from the net and had the Rapsodo 6' behind you?

Depending on how my entry into the Apple world goes, I will try my shop. I have pretty even LED lighting and high ceilings, so hopefully it's GTG

I had the Rapsodo 6' behind me and I was whatever the recommended distance from the net was in the booklet.

At the range and all setup. Some small things to get used to but really easy right out of the box. Gonna post videos from the start so you can experience it exactly as I do.

Initial setup at range, not ranch :ROFLMAO:

Hitting for the first time with an 8 iron

Realized my club selection error and what looks like carry vs total distance.

Edit: so this only had carry and total because I had driver selected. I am now on 7i and you only get carry distance.

I believe you can show the camera the bottom of the club and it will change the club selection automatically.

I don't know if you're trying to make me look like an idiot or not, but I tried this and couldn't get it to work. I do have some big glaring going on on the screen.
