Wow a lot of claims for sure great images. Do you have another device with an accurate reading to find out how well this app works? That two day's for mapping a course is unreal.

Yessir! I'll be comparing it to my Skycaddie SGX! I'll be curious to see just how close it is.
I should be getting out on Thursday and Friday as it looks now, we shall see how it goes!
That's pretty cool. I thought for sure there would be a seperate charge for a worldwide portion. This has me intrigued now. Looking forward to the review.

Got out with this one on Wednesday and used it exclusively, I'll compare its distances to the Skycaddie on today or tomorrows round.
All in all, it really is a damn good looking interface in "3D" and I like the fact that you can manipulate and turn it for different angles. You also have the ability to look at the "2D" version, the satellite view, and a simple "distance" view that gived you green numbers and hazard numbers. A simple swipe of the finger allows you to turn and zoom and to move markers to see different distances to places on the hole, simple simple simple....but most importantly it WORKS well when you do it.
As to the scoring, it too is easy, as you just slide your finger to change the information (strokes, putts, penalties). The tracking of shots is pretty easy as before each shot you just pick your club (from the bag you already set up in app) and hit the record button, then after getting to the ball you repeat that (and even can select putter when on green).
So far, it works well, and its EASY. Not confusing at all IMO and there is something to be said for that. I'll test out the accuracy of the distances in my next round, I don't expect them to be spot on with the Skycaddie with how the course is mapped but I bet it will be close. More on that later though! Now, some pic's of the first two holes of the course I was on!

I honestly didn't expect this when I saw the name of the app. "Fun Golf" is just so generic and this is REALLY pretty. I really am taken back so far by the ease and looks, that's not bold talk, that's honest talk.

How was it on the battery? Please don't say that it died after two holes!

Haha, no, that sir would have been what I led in with had that been the case. I simply only took screen caps on the first two holes.
Very little battery drain for me on the round, I was impressed with that too. I think the fact that you download the course map is to credit for that, its also what I'm curious about on distance comparisons though. We shall see.

Going off memory (since I forgot to bring my SGX last time) on my home course I think its going to be close. I for one don't expect it to be spot on since its mapped via satellite maps but if its close, then it could be well worth it because the presentation is stellar and so far very simple to use.

Played a full round with the app yesterday...
Compared to my SGX, to the centers of greens it was about +/- 2-3 yards for me. Not bad for being an iPhone app and not a standalone as I know that golf shot is also off by about the same margin for me.
The one touch scoring is pretty dang handy too after using it a full round. Simply select the club before your shot and hit record. Based on the distance you entered for each club it predicts the club from that given distance, if you need to change it its an easy process if touching the club selection and picking another. You even select the putter and record those strokes. If you do each shot then putts, score, fairways, greens, are recorded for you.
If you don't want to record each shot like that even though its EASY and QUICK then you can just use the spin wheel after each hole. The benefit to selecting clubs and tapping the record button before shots is that it will actually average out distances for each club and you can adjust the pre-set averages after each round! Handy!

Like anything there are a couple little hiccups I'll mention when I'm not on this damn phone.
I'm a lot like you though, plus the LOOK of the whole package and that it actually works is what is nicest to me.
