anybody here into muscle cars? i know i am... started with my dad, who currently owns a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda 383 and a '67 Murcury Cougar (not really a muscle car) (he's had a '70 Mach 1 Mustang, a '70 Chevelle, a '70 AAR 'Cuda, and a '70 Barracuda with a 340 before his current cars). his current barracuda is so sexy. i'll try to find a picture of it and post it in here..

basically, if you own one, post a pic of it.
if you want one, say which one you want with what specs.

as for what I would love to own: his Barracuda, of course, a '66 or '67 Charger (with a HEMI or 383), a Yenko Camaro, and maybe a '68 Dodge Dart (383 or bigger).

I don't, but two of my buddies bought and restored two last year. A hemi Cuda (spelling) and an old school camaro. That are both show ready and the Cuda will be on Meccum Auto in a few weeks

I love the ones I know of some cudda's and sting rays and old school novas , chevelles and what not but do not know a dand thing about them! I am a european car guy myself but I always wanted to get one for 10 or 15k and make it a gem and learn to work on them!

Go for a dodge dart. Extremely powerful, usually on the cheap side, and quite nice lines if i do say so myself

I didn't but my brother had a Road Runner, a couple of Barracudas, several others I don't remember, and four or five Trans Ams. All in the '70s, all just a few years old. He owned probably two or three cars a year, every year from the time he was 17 until he was 23 or so, and sold them all for more than he paid for them.

Muscle cars have been my thing for years. My dad had a '64 Dodge Polara 500 for years but sold it off because it was just languishing from neglect. Now we have a Factory Five Roadster - not really a muscle car, but makes that same great noise and corners a helluva lot better!

From September, at one of the highest passes in North America. Car's not done yet, lacking all body work.

It's almost done, She started late 2011, it's been a long process

^^^^ That looks sweet!!!!^^^^ My first car was an '86 Monte Carlo SS, does that qualify as a muscle car?

Great restore on the midrange, that thing is looking sweet. They will always hold a special place to me as I had a stock 67' through my high school years.

That's awesome. I love Cuda's, I grew up around Mopars. I'm lucky enough to go to the Woodward cruise every year.

I want either Eleanor (67 Shelby GT500) from Gone in 60 seconds or this GTO I saw at the Chicago Auto Show last year

I love old Cudas and Challengers.I wanted to buy a brand new 71 Petty blue Cuda after I got my first post college job but I let my dad talk me into something cheaper-a '70 Plymouth Duster! I have also owned a '65 Corvette convertible 327/300 hp 4 speed and '74 Corvette 350 auto.

I've been wanting to purchase a muscle car for a few years now. My very first car was 72 Plymouth Duster with the 318, 3-speed, a real screamer. I'm getting closer to the time that i feel comfortable taking the plunge. You always dream of the GTOs or Mustangs, old Camaros, but I really like the pre '68 Novas and Chevy 2s. I'd really love to find a '63 with a 327 and 4 speed. I guess finding them isn't hard, it's laying out the cash. LOL

No, and i wouldnt call a mid-60's mustang one either. Only after '68

Just a stock 5.0L from a '90 Mustang right now with a carb... but there is a 350hp 5.0L sitting in the garage waiting to go in when we do the body in the new future.
