There is a leprechaun in those woods!

I wish he'd left a pot of birdies for me to find! Heck, I just wish we could have got some rain instead of another near miss. 1" of rain in 8 weeks is making for a very dry summer. Meanwhile, I have a coworker that lives about 80 miles away and he's had around 12" of rain at his place. Crazy.

Loved this hole yesterday when playing a course for the first time.

You better get your tee shot up early, and it better be long and straight. It's nothing but swamp land for 210 yards and the fairway is only 22 yards wide.

Green is that little bump in the back right. 354 yards I think.

Must hit over two ponds to reach the "landing area" with another pond guarding the front and back of the green and bunker to the right.

10th Fairway at Mountain View GC in Sierra Vista, AZ.

I think it's pretty appropriately named. Mexico is at the foothills on the other side. No fence, but the mountains themselves are pretty much impassable aside from a few paths.

Also, when in doubt, the greens slope away from the mountains slightly.

I forgot I had these. This is Hell's Gate Gorge at Woodloch Pines in Pennslyvania. It is a 225 yard forced carry. When I played here it was the third round of golf I ever played. When we got to this hole my dad bet me $100 I couldn't clear it. With my starter set I had my best drive of the day and ever at the time. It ended up hitting the top of the retaining wall, bounced straight up and landed a foot short of the wall.

So many of these courses are absolutely beautiful. So glad I live in flat, plain, boring Illinois :sidefrown:

Today, my home clubs course nr. 2, the 14th hole, opening shot view from the tee. Dogleg to the left, 240-260 yards should do it, to get and 100-110 yard approach. The pond is only visual & mental. 120 yards or so to carry.

You might see a deer there, shes not always there :) the clubs name would also translate as "Deerland", we see quite a bit of deers over there.
