1. Play more golf
2. Play with more THPers
3. Get out of my own way
4 . Drop the index
5. Enjoy the game for what it is

16 handicap.

Shorter memory of bad shots, longer memory of good shots.

Get on the green the first time I touch a wedge on a hole for 18 holes.

Help bring home the Morgan Cup for whatever team I end up on.

2014 is going to be one heck of a year!

My resolutions:

Continue on with lessons
Play smarter golf (less risks)
Slow down
Play one shot at a time, but think ahead
Don't let mistakes run into the next shot(s)
Make it to every THP event that I can get to
More rounds with THP'ers
Win my golf league
Walk at least 25% of my rounds (hopefully more)
Putt better
Cut way down on penalty shots
Saying goodbye to flubbed shots

That should just about cover it

Break 80 is my biggest goal for 2014

Play more golf with THPers

Hold my own at the Morgan Cup

Win my neighborhood golf league

Lose some weight. Try to get my back in decent shape so I can practice a little bit. AND get a steady, reliable short game.

Lower my index to 5
Improve my putting and short game

Break 90 then 85. Play more with thp'ers.

To play at least 20 courses that I've never played before.
To play four or five courses in Georgia that I've never played before.

It will be harder to play new courses in 2014 because our daughter's June wedding will keep us closer to home for a while.

I'd be surprised if there were 5 courses left in Georgia, Don, that you haven't played. If mine is one of them, we can take care of that.

Play with more THPers.
Get more physically fit.
Get back to my 2012 form, then build on it.
Be around a 10 handicap or better by the Morgan Cup.
Help my team win the Morgan Cup.

Lessons.

Practice.

Improve my short game.

More FIR/GIR.

Play a whole lot of THP events with a whole lot of THPers.

Enjoy the game.

Goals...sub 10 index
Respectable short game
Win the Morgan cup
Attend many thp events
And just have fun with golf...life is too short

I like this Mike!

Mine is pretty much the same as yours except substitute longer game in place of short game.

get golf lessons is mine

This will be my 1st year having an official handicap, I'm very excited to see how much I can lower it. I'm a 14.6 right now and would love to be in the single digits by the Morgan Cup, I don't know if that's feasible, but that's the goal!

1. Spend at least 1/3 of practice time on short game

2. Break 90.

3.Attend first THP event (shooting for the Ocean City invitational!)

Qualify for the 2014 Morgan Cup and get my handicap back down to a 3 (or lower)

My goals are as follows:

I will not try to 'fix' or change my swing
Win #TheKing
Become automatic from 50 and in
Fix my long game permanently (woods/long irons)

My only resolution is to play more golf!

I bought the "Joey D" golf workout stuff a few months back to prep for The Grandaddy, but with surgery, Denmark, etc, I never even tried it! The box is out, DVD and workout plans are ready, all I need to do is get an anchor for the resistance bands and I'm set. It calls for 20 minutes, three days per week, with hitting after certain days. I can get the three workouts in, but I may not be able to hit balls the same days as well. So, Swiss ball gets inflated when I get back from Florida, and I'm on it!!! Just the help it will give my core will be SO beneficial!!!

Play as many thp events as possible. Qualify for US Open.

About equivalent goals.

My first goal is to get my handicap in to the low teens. In order to do that I need to hit more fairways and greens. Therefore my goal is to increase my driving accuracy and increase my consistency on my 100 and in shots.

My new years golf resolutions are:

1) Kill off the 3 putts
2) Get the swing changes grooved and start hitting more fairways and (especially) greens
3) 10 handicap
